Sumatec Resources Bhd, which was recently admitted into Practice Note 17 (PN17) was also actively traded with 9.9 million shares done. Its share price has jumped by 11.1% to 5 sen. The largest shareholder of the company, Tan Sri Halim Saad, is a protégé of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, now the chairman of the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP). Sumatec Resources is expected to announce its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018 (1QYF18) at the end of this month. In its FY17’s results, Sumatec Resources slipped into losses with a net loss of RM63.7 million.

Malaysian Bulk Carriers Bhd’s net loss more than halved to RM14.34 million in the first quarter of the financial year 2018 (1QFY18), from RM33.21 million a year ago, thanks to improved charter rates from the dry bulk segment, and reduced losses from its associate, PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd (POSH).

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2018, however, fell 17% to RM54.26 million from RM64.96 million a year ago.

Yup, price drop is because of dividend payout. That's the same for all stocks.

Well YOY comparison, IGB Reit is suppose to be rebound either this week or next week... Purely based on personal opinion & historical data. Hahaha!

Highlights:

1) Sime Darby has recently deconsolidated SD Plantation and SD Property by end Nov 2017. Post the exercise, Sime Darby is mainly driven by Industrial and Motor segment.

2) Affected by impairments and losses in Vietnam operation.

3) Higher YoY on stronger sales, but declined QoQ due to 1Q18 recognized gain on disposal of property in Australia worth RM156m.
