Further to the Company’s announcement on 6 March 2024, the Board of Directors of the Company is pleased to announce that Jayamas Mining Sdn Bhd (“JMSB”) and Spate Precious Metals Sdn Bhd had notified the Company today that the Jabatan Alam Sekitar Kelantan i.e. the Kelantan State Department of Environment had, vide its letter dated 18 April 2024, stated that they have no objection to the implementation of the environmental management plan submitted for the proposed operation of the heap leach and carbon-in-leach gold beneficiation plants.

The Company is currently pending the hard rock operation mining scheme (“OMS”) approval from the Kelantan State Department of Mineral and Geoscience. Barring any unforeseen circumstance, the Company target to commence commercial production by third quarter of 2024.

This announcement is dated 22 April 2024.

At current moment, almost all commodities eg copper hitting high. Sarawak with huge land provide vast mining opportunities. Mine planning, survey, and grade control geology continue to be carried out by Selinsing Gold Mine team who also have been operating the Selinsing Oxide Pits successfully over the past 13 years.

Open mining at both Selinsing and Buffalo Reef has historically been carried out by a local contractor Minetech Construction Sdn Bhd who has been involved in the operation since Monument acquired the operation
The contract is current, and Minetech is responsible for the mining ore and waste including :-
- Drill and blast activities
- Load and haul activities
- Rehabilitation activities

Minetech is basically the main con for Selinsing mining project. Increase in gold price will encourage Monument to further invest in digging. 230m is only estimate value.
