@damagpie I only assist Tan KW to compile and rank them every month. Those who wish to participate, you need to create your own portfolio and put your link here. A few things to note.

1) This is just an extension of the competition for those who didn't make it to the top 50 first come first serve.
2) Participants have to create their own portfolios
3) Only portfolios that fulfill the rules of the contest will be included such as min 5 and max 10 stocks, stock or warrant price below 10c not allowed and etc (you may refer the complete rules @ http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/stock_pick_2017/112420.jsp)
4) Participants will be responsible to update their own dividends / rights etc. I don't manage, I only compile.
5) Those portfolio that have selling transactions during the year will be removed.
6) I will only compile portfolios created before 23:59 2 Jan 2017
7) After your portfolios is created, the "all time performance" should approximately be -0.24% as your starting point is same as everyone else. You are only down by 0.24% due to transaction fees.
8) Make sure your cash balance is less than 1% or RM1,000 when portfolio is created.

@Tan KW, I believe you have misunderstood me. I don't intend to start a new competition. I just feel sorry for those who was behind the top 50 early birds. So I thought maybe can extend the competition to them on the condition they key in their own portfolio. I can assist to compile and rank every month. And the portfolio list should appear under your blog as it falls under the same competition, same rules. (Similar to self managed 2016)

In fact this is more like a platform for everyone to share their portfolio picks and learn from each other rather than a competition because there is no prizes. So the more people join, the more everyone is benefitted.

@Tan KW, i don't mind to compile and give result update every month.

But I don't want to create a blog. I can help to compile and give you result beginning of each month.
Participants will be responsible to update their own dividends / rights etc. I only help to rank them.
Those portfolio that have selling transactions during the year will be removed.
Portfolios that are created after 23:59 2 Jan 2017 will not be included.
Portfolios that do not fulfill the 7 criterias mentioned will not be included.
Portfolios created before 23:59 2 Jan 2017 suppose to have "all time performance of approximately -0.24%" as your starting point is same as everyone else. You are only down by 0.24% due to transaction fees.

And Mr Tan just need to click into the link see if they fulfill the few rules like min 5 stocks, no warrants or PA less than 10c and etc. If everything passes you can "approve" it to join the competition. This way the onus to join the competition goes back to the new participants. And Mr Tan can spend more quality time for New Year rather than spend 6 hours helping others (mostly computer literate people) to create their own portfolios.

Mr Tan, is it the process of setting up the portfolio that lead you to limit 50 participants + reserve seats? If that's the case may I suggest that all new participants to create their own portfolio and give the link to Mr Tan before market reopens on 3Jan? Mr Tan shall only set up portfolio for the reserve seats? All portfolio created their "all time performance" should be -0.24% which reflect the portfolio is based on 30Dec prices and the -0.24% is due to the transaction fees.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — Coding will be officially added to the syllabuses of national schools starting next year, according to Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) CEO Datuk Yasmin Mahmood.

She said computer coding will not only in taught as part of a computer science subject, but will also incorporated into the pedagogy of teaching, especially in science and maths classes.

“We will be launching this thing called the digital maker movement next month, where coding is embedded as an official curriculum in schools, starting from standard three onwards,” she told a forum organised by Google Malaysia.

The movement, she explained, is an initiative to encourage school-going youth to participate as makers of technology instead of just users.

When met by reporters after the event, Yasmin explained that the pilot programme has been running since last year in 22 schools.

She said it is being headed by the Education Ministry with the help of MDEC, and will be a part of the Primary School Standard Curriculum (KSSR) and Secondary School Standard Curriculum (KSSM) that will be rolled out next year.

The programme, she added, was in line with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, which she said called for the encouraging of cognitive and higher order thinking as well as embedding IT as a teaching and learning tool.

“And it’s been proven that coding, or computer science, is a very important driver towards higher thinking skills,” she added.

However, she said the full details of the programme will only be announced in August.

“It’s very exciting because we will be one of the first few countries that will be doing this officially,” she said.
