We are now into the 4th Red day where 1682 is the next support to monitor. The relatively lower volume that is below 30MA volume implies that there is no major sell down across the board quite unlike the correction in early August that was accompanied with increasing daily volumes. It augurs well for a potential market rebound and increases the probability of such a rebound. Trade cautiously.

The euphoria on the Budget, although limited, was over in a jiffy yesterday with driven up prices of stocks deemed beneficiaries of the Budget being sold down soon after. The current dip in market may open up some opportunities to collect some stocks. We may yet see the market closed back above 1700 as had happened many times in the past when the market seems to be heading way south only for it to reverse direction later. But whatever the case, do trade with your plan and cautiously.

tsy, yeah, Dow had a very bullish day and over here, traders are holding back waiting to see how the budget today will turn out before taking further positions in the market.
The budget will be constrained by the loss of revenue from oil contributions due to the low oil price. But our economy needs to be fueled too to avoid a slowdown in the economy. Monetary policies alone may not do the job. We may turn to fiscal policies to boost the economy or to soften the impact of the recent rising cost of living but the debt problem that we have with 1MDB may limit our fiscal options to achieve this. This budget, hopefully, will consolidate our fiscal policy.
Infrastructure projects will be a good stimulator of the economy. The multiplier effect from these projects can be tremendous. So, I believe construction companies will be a key beneficiary from the budget.

AllWin,
Kimhin:
Its correction phase seems to be over and is trending up again. It should have good support at 1.89 and is now attempting to clear the psychological resistance of 2.00. Looks to be losing some momentum at the moment and it could retrace a bit before attempting another forward push.

Inwest, good to hear of your Instaco profitable trades. I have always admired your stock selection. Instaco is looking good. Inspite of its volume spike, it hasn't come under heavy profit taking which is a good sign especially if it continues to hold at the current price level on Monday. Cheers.

AllWin,
Bintai:
Attempted to break out of its 0.295 resistance but was unable to sustain above this price level convincingly. The bearish harami of 20/10 suggest possible further consolidation before it attempts to break it again. Will be bullish if break 0.32 with volume. Support is at 0.275.
SYF:
In consolidation. Seems to have found good support at around 0.46. Need to break 0.495 with volume to be bullish again. Losing momentum at the moment and the bearish engulfing candle of 20/10 carries a weakness implication in the stock for the short term. You may want to stop loss if 0.455 is violated.

inwest, my apologies for the delay.
Instaco:
Its correction appears to be over. It has broken out of its downtrend line and seems to have good immediate support at 0.205. It is seeking to break 0.23 resistance. Probably due to the overhang in the stock, it is consolidating at the moment, trading sideways.

PUC:
PUC broke out from its rectangle trading pattern on 6/10 on high volume and went into a consolidation soon after. The overhang in the stock might hold back its progress. Unless there is a catalyst, its upside may be limited in the short term.

twobits, yes, yesterday was just another candle and today it did formed a shooting star with distribution taking place marked by a bearish divergence in the Accum.Dist line. However, we do need a bearish confirmation on Monday be it a gap down or a long bearish candle on high volume. Judging by today's shooting star formation on high volume with the Accum.Dist divergence, we could see the market taking a breather on Monday and possibly thereafter unless there is "divine intervention" again to prop up the market.

twobits, hi, ...hahaha... Ah Con, what a name. Yes, you are absolutely right, if it gaps down tomorrow irrespective of the body length, the current upleg might take a breather. With a gap down, my interpretation is that it could potentially be forming a cup and handle pattern. Though this is only a speculation on the potential pattern formation.

Well KLCI surpassed 1660 during the last minutes of trade. It had been trying to break 1660 the whole day.
The signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the biggest trade agreement in history, marked a milestone in international trade. It effectively reduces tariffs and eliminates protectionism across the 12 countries in the pact.
Bloomberg has identified the following impact on Malaysia:
- Malaysia’s state-owned enterprises may suffer from the deal which calls for equal access to government procurement
- Electronics, chemical products, palm oil and rubber exporters are among beneficiaries. Malaysia is the world’s second-biggest palm oil producer and one of the biggest growers of rubber.
Note: quoted from http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-06/tpp-trade-deal-who-stands-to-benefit-suffer-in-asia-pacific
You may draw your own conclusion on the implications to related companies listed on KLSE. The TPP still need to pass through the US congress.

It is now consolidating in a pennant after a temporary decisive break out from 1.18. Its support of 1.18 seems to be holding at the moment. Should this support continues to hold, it could be poised to attempt another decisive breakout to re-test its immediate high of 1.28.

The Dow had a very green day yesterday and naturally so, as it recovers from its earlier losses. Coming from an oversold position, it did a technical rebound across the board but the magnitude of the rebound was surprising as there were no new positive news or data to support a very bullish tone. Lets see if it sustains.
On the KLCI, as we anticipated earlier, it could be "pushed" up in the very short term. But for the KLCI to touch 1640 this week could be stretching it a wee bit. Even if it surpasses this level, it may be short lived and may not be broad based supported. The plantation sector is drawing attention today.
In this volatile market, the best stance to employ is perhaps, still, the buy on dips and sell on rally posture.

John Wong, the previous 2 lows does not factor into the morning star criteria. The morning star occurs at end of a downtrend to signal a bullish reversal. We should be looking at the immediate 2 candles prior to today.
In a morning star pattern, Day 1 is a bearish candle, usually a long bearish candle. The candle of KLCI on 28/9 failed this criteria. The day 2 candle should open with a gap down while the day 3 bullish candle opens with a gap up and should close beyond the mid-point of Day 1's candle.
The pattern in question does not fulfill many of these criteria.

Dunknow,
Superln:
It broke out today with a gap up taking with it the 1.55/1.56 resistance. 1.50 is the immediate support. Consolidation appears to be over. Bullish with a strong breakaway and now the test is to see if it stays above 1.56 and to re-test the next resistance at 1.68. Beyond that, it will be in new found land!. Could be on a good winner here. Still, do be cautious of market sentiment.
No problem. You can kacau anytime.

John Wong, no, it is not considered a morning star. The morning star is a 3 candle pattern and occurs at the bottom of a downtrend.

westgun, there is a possibility that they will try to keep it at or above 1600. Even if they do, I don't think its sustainable as the overall fundamentals of world economy is weakening. So, in the light of this, it may not be a wise thing to do as China has found out the hard way when they tried to prevent a market crash earlier on. The minute the measures are removed, there goes the floor of the market again and the fall could be even harder.
At the moment, KLCI has already broken down from 1600 but is fighting hard to stay above this level. If the weakness persist, we can expect the index to head towards 1540.
Globally, there are concerns that the Glencore stock price plummet could trigger a major correction. At this point in time, we can only speculate but the risks are there. The Fed has hinted quite strongly that there will be a rate hike by the end of this year.
Yes, you may want to stay away from call warrants and go with puts. I foresee increased volatility and more corrections on the way. There are just too many negative news surfacing daily to warrant a bullish run.

Hi Profitman....up coming 2 days will be closing the Q3... do you think that Bomoh team to support the Index to fall / maintain at 1600 level?
I am currently holding only TNBC23 and still plan to sell it at better price ( cut less lose ).. as i strongly believe that October will be a Storm coming and better "Put"..
Looking forward your valuable feedback...:)

ariff7996,
My take on Comfort is this. It just announced a very good set of results. FA wise its great. But as we know, even good FA stocks can be sold down during bears but they will bounce back. Comfort has bottomed out at 0.67. Its immediate support is at 0.73 and it needs to clear its immediate resistance at 0.77/0.775 with a strong resistance at 0.795. It should enjoy strong support at 0.715/0.72.
There will be some overhang in the stock as it has undergone quite a severe correction, 78% on the fibo retracement. So, you can expect some selling activities in a weak market sentiment environment. Depending on your entry price, you might want to stop loss upon violation of 0.715. Good luck on this stock. Incidentally, I am also trading this stock. But, as mentioned by Dunknow, always fall back on your trading plan in case we are wrong in our assessment.

charlie82, i assume you are referring to Thriven (7889) and not Trive (0118).
Thriven:
Still under correction but the selling pressure could be tapering off. Support at 0.43 is holding so far. Resistance levels are at 0.45 and 0.49. Low trading volume.
Dominan:
Still in correction but could have bottomed out at 1.11 which is now the support. Unable to break its 1.16 resistance. It is now consolidating after hitting a high of 1.21.
