I think AA will go back uptrend need following factor:

1. Announcement of AAC confirmed sale with special dividend
2. Malaysia Ringgit stabilize and back to 4.20 or lower.
3. Higher than expected Big Profit for example 4Q16 RM500mil net profit
4. US economy down & thus rate maintain
5. Jet Fuel OIl drop back from USD68 / Barrel to USD55/Barrel

Share market price is always under Fund manager control, they want them up, than up, They want them down, even billion profit there, so what???? up to them to decide.....

One day AA price will rise like rocket maybe another 6 montha, don't make a wrong decision now.... Be patient....

AA will totally turn around estimate on March 2017, after Q4 result announce end of Feb 2017.

My confident estimation AA will able to deliver handsome profit with rich dividend.

Net profit for Q4 2017 is abt 500 to 600 mil (inclusive the currency loss at end of Dec 2016)
Dividend is about 0.14 to 0.15 cents (6.5 Div Yield)

AA should able to climb back to at least RM2.80 before 20/06/17.

If there is surprise AAC sales announcement, then story is different, Should climb at least RM3.30 and above........

1. At first AA said want to sell AAC, bid closed AA up to 2.80

2. Bloomberg question AA declare profit, selling plane to get profit, AA drop to 2.50

3. Fuel price up 12% since End of Nov 16 to now USD65, AA 75% hedged at USD60, but people only concern Ringgit fall from 4.10 to 4.50 within a month. Then AA continue drop from 2.50 to 2.40

4. AAI RM1,000,000,000 convert to equity, another bad news, AA drop from 2.40 to 2.20.

Look at above is like a drama, all are in one line.........no wonder......

Just buy AA @ 2.53 or lower tomorrow morning, in a dumb way, don't look at price daily, Don't read news. Just think AA can bring you fortune..

After 6 months, come to check again, you will surprise!!!!

Current Jet fuel price @ 02/12/16, USD 62.7/bbl, divided 164 lit per bbl, is equivalent @4.43 = RM1.70 per litter, cheaper than malaysia petrol 95 price RM1.90 currently.

Meaning US petrol price u can get RM1.50 or lower currently, Malaysia is selling higher price without any exemption, some more got profit another 26.67%!!!!

Government claim current price is cheap, what a joke?

Jet fuel is the higher fuel quality even Shell 98 / Petron 100 also can not compete.

If use Airasia hedge price USD60/bbl, = RM1.62 per litter only, Cheap or not ???

Air ticket price will normally uptrend follow jet fuel price.

Jet Fuel price continue Up Up Up will only benefit Airasia to have better competitive environment.

WHo dare to have price war if your cost can not compete to others?

We expect Air Asia share price to find a floor near 200-d SMA or RM2.47 as bottoming up hourly indicators could suggest downside risks are ebbing and implying imminent technical rebound towards immediate stiff resistance at RM2.71 (downtrend line). To short AA is easy as more than 50% ticket is on foreigner's hand....

I can not 100% sure that AA may drop to that low if AA face more bad news ahead....

However, i do not foreseen any bad news(serious one) for example AA will face BIG LOST in coming year.......

Then all the price fall from RM2.80 to RM2.53 is mainly due to foreign invester confidence drop in malaysia, increasing exit & nervous will bring more fund to exit.
