'Market force' is pressing down the price because too many people have too high expectation on lion. Although Q4 2018 results may not be as good as Q3, it may be better than Q4 2017. I agree with Sifu OTB, KYY, SLLee view that lion medium term is good, thus increase my target by buying below 0.95. Share price does not go up in a straight line.

@apprentice, my short term speculator sell timing is only applied to call warrants. I don't have mother but I think (3) announcement of election date also applied to mother as after government dissolve, there is period of uncertainty, foreign fund will exit.
As mother is good dividend stock, my long term view on Maybank is buy when KLCI below 1500 , sell when KLCI 1900 or above

Hi @ tcs888, since nobody comment, may I speculate (use your judgement) possible reasons
(1) CW drops as your suggestion of discount on near term dividend payout.
(2) CW drops can be also due to selling on good news/ into strength. In this case, it will rebound.
(3) Mother sustained because better future profit is bet by some funds while some funds sell into strength/sell on good news. In this case, price will be uptrend in near term
(4) Maybank and Tenaga are major representatives of Bursa Malaysia KLCI, sometimes they do national service. Mother sustained sometimes because Tenaga or others is not ready to support KLCI yet. when Tenaga or other up, then mother can rest...

Just to share from the chart, Mother was trading above mav50 for past 4 months. It need to return to 4 month uptrend channel which base is around 15.82, and top is around 16.55. After return to the base, speculatively it will meet Bollinger band top @15.88 (15.70+Dividend 0.21=15.91) . If it can stay @this level for 2 days, MACD will hook up and cross the signal line. Then 16.50 can be challenged in near term technically.

Price action of mother is above my expectation. MACD may hook up if able to close @10.24 or above. If MACD hook up, Mother may support KLCI in March.
