Hi @ tcs888, since nobody comment, may I speculate (use your judgement) possible reasons
(1) CW drops as your suggestion of discount on near term dividend payout.
(2) CW drops can be also due to selling on good news/ into strength. In this case, it will rebound.
(3) Mother sustained because better future profit is bet by some funds while some funds sell into strength/sell on good news. In this case, price will be uptrend in near term
(4) Maybank and Tenaga are major representatives of Bursa Malaysia KLCI, sometimes they do national service. Mother sustained sometimes because Tenaga or others is not ready to support KLCI yet. when Tenaga or other up, then mother can rest...

Just to share from the chart, Mother was trading above mav50 for past 4 months. It need to return to 4 month uptrend channel which base is around 15.82, and top is around 16.55. After return to the base, speculatively it will meet Bollinger band top @15.88 (15.70+Dividend 0.21=15.91) . If it can stay @this level for 2 days, MACD will hook up and cross the signal line. Then 16.50 can be challenged in near term technically.

@fattmoney Exactly, or else I wont be able to buy @.40 and below. However, I speculate that before dividend Mother may trade at @TP10.70 anytime soon. (10.70-0.32-9.25)/2.5=0.45 without premium. As I sold earlier @0.47 and buy back at 0.40, thus added margin of safety

@Christopher Toh, 'cheapest' Maybank call warrant is lowest premium C34, in money, reasonable maturity date, good ratio and good trading volume. Please notice that there are 2 call warrants, C31 and C32 going to mature in 5 working days starting tomorrow.
Lowest premium is because C34 already discount on maturity of 2 call warrants.

Top of 3 month uptrend channel currently is about 16.50 if price can recover from 15.72 (lowest 15.54-a hammer?) today. If 16.50, C39=(1.01X16.50-14.60)/5=0.41, if 16.90, C39=(1.01X16.90-14.60)/5=0.49. What is your target price?

There may be a last price surge for banks, hopefully before 6th February, or else banks need to settle down until end of February and let the QR judge them. Remember, C31 is due at the end of February

hi, guys, congratulation on holding Mother and son, they appreciated. As my target price reached, I should take profit slowly these few days. [16/1/18 my TP for C34 is when
(1) Mother hit 10-10.20 (9.15->10.15 about RM1, heavy weight also need to rest), or
(2) KLCI 1st attempt to cross 1850 (readjusted to 1867), or
(3) 2 days after BNM's announcement of interest rate raise, or
(4) 2 week before CNY (readjusted to last day 5th Feb), which ever is earlier].
Maybank will continue to rise and I may reenter after market correction.

Yes. I believe not much funds want to sell at lower price now, until enough shares collected, only they can push it higher. If slow slow then only 2nd liners in FBM70 and 3rd liners in FBMSmallCap have chance for CNY relly
