With the school term finally over, Britons are flying to Europe in their tens of thousands, record levels for this Covid year. They are arriving in countries where the Delta variant paralysing Britain is just becoming dominant – and Europe is responding by clamping down.

“Aside from vaccine rates, I’d say the way the UK has handled Delta is precisely the opposite of how it should be done,” said Stephen Griffin, associate professor in the school of medicine at the University of Leeds.

“Allowing mass infection alongside partial vaccination is not only causing avoidable illness and death, including under-18s, it will cause profound morbidity from long Covid and represents a huge experiment in virus evolution that could generate more dangerous variants.”

“The UK was responsible for exporting Alpha, and now Delta. Countries across Europe, especially the UK, still haven’t learned the value of regulated quarantine,” said Griffin. Control measures including green pass rules “will all help”, he said. “But to control Delta properly you should ideally use both vaccination and restrictions in a concerted effort – unlike the UK.”

SM21, currently those South America cases are coming down bcos they impose lockdowns to control. Later once they open up cases will rise again. As I said before, many nations economy are in dire straits alrdy. Their Gov't later will have no choice but to slowly open up , then the cases will rise again. SM21, u may be living in some kampung deep in some jungle or on an isolated island for all we know. In next 3 months, things will become clearer and we won't be having this disagreement.

Bcos in Msia lockdown only apply to 50% of the population. The other 50% can do what they like.

Msia Gov't need to wake to 2 things:

1. Take good care of all the frontliners, coz they are the most valuable assets to all the countries in the world now. The facilities and equipment are useless if you don't have qualified health workers.
2. Take good care of all the PPE manufacturers. Give them high priority and proper assistance to ensure no disruption to their operation.

Currently, the 2 above factors should be top priority for all countries.

U r the one that don't understand the importance of registering the new infection numbers. These numbers act as a warning to everyone how much infections are happening around where. So ppl will be more careful. The fact that high numbers of new cases are detected means there are breakouts and necessary actions need to be taken to by Authorities to reduce the infection rates. This is so important as a matter of controlling the pandemic. Only the politicians and dumbdonkeys want to cover up to make things look good.

Australia next country to explode with Delta.

In next 3 months, many parts of the world will be seriously impacted by Delta. Not enough gloves to fill the huge demand.

Coming winter, US will be badly hit, likely recording around 200k daily cases with 2000 death daily. UK won't be too far off. So these 2 biggest glove consumers in the world will need to seriously stock pile gloves to the max for the next few months to be full prepared for the worst. ASP and lead time should start to increase again.

SOTB, when you are fully invested in a good company, then its natural to dedicate your time to promote it.

Ppl are holding out for some miracle drugs to cure and prevent Covid infection such as Ivermectin or Dexamethasone or some newer drug being developed by Israel. However, nothing is proven yet to really work. And there is no guarantee that Covid will not become resistant to those drugs later.

Gov't will start to realize all the glovemakers and PPE makers must be protected and given top priority to ensure they can operate without disruption. Going forward glove shortage will be so acute that it will be affecting the safety of the frontliners, as many nations will be under stress to deal with Covid infection and serious disease, all at the same time.

The Covid crisis is gonna grow bigger and bigger by the day. Its becoming unstoppable. Many countries will have to face the pain and more pain. Actually I m beginning to see that all these "expert analysts" from the IBs do not know how to make sense of what's really happening as there is no precedent to fall back on as reference. They are at lost as how to evaluate glove stocks. They all thought the pandemic is alrdy over by end of 2021. Life would be back to normalcy by 2022 and ASP would be back to prepandemic by mid 2022. So they short and short the Big4 like there's no tomorrow. But Covid threw them a curve ball now, and they are not sure how to catch it.

Its not just Msia. The whole world is coming to a huge crisis with Delta and subsequent variants. More death and sufferings yet to come. Covid has mutated to be able to be able transmit virulently thru air-borne. Its also mutating to break through the current vaccines more effectively. Could this combination be the next wave to hit the western developed countries that are highly vaccinated in the coming winter? Yet to be certain but don't assume that the pandemic is oredi over when it is still spreading like wildfire in the developing countries now.

If u r what your ID suggest, then I believe u will be doing just that.

No one can tell u what to do, as events of life are quite dynamic. But Delta variant looks quite set to bring havoc to many countries around the world. How much that translate into additional glove demand is still unknown. My prediction is that glove shortage will become more acute in the coming months and ASP should start rising again soon.

The long term players should continue to nibble at dips while the rest should continue to hold. Don't chase high and don't contra play.

I think the shortists have miscalculated their timing. I have been warning them of this impending huge wave since 3 months back in early May, even before Delta got its name, but their macai, ie Aunty GloveFinish and MoneyMakers never took heed and kept attacking me and didn't inform their bosses to quickly cover short positions earlier. So I think their bosses must have lockdown their pay, so they have no incentive to post here anymore until the get their pay. I think this time the shortists will be in trouble if they don't quickly cover back as the Delta is moving faster than they expected. This Delta has caught everyone by surprise, including the shortists. In fact this time round, the retailers are acting faster than the shortists. If today global daily Covid cases hit new high of >600k and DJ drop by < -600 points then tmr all glove stocks should fly. Supermax maybe >4.0

Anyway , the DJ futures is dropping to red now. Correction should settle to around 25k level.

If DJ meltdown due to Delta fear then Supermax will go up, due to safe haven factor. Anyway, DJ is long overdue for major correction.
