i think OTB is betting that there is fundamental change in steel supplies over long term due to china cut down non efficient steel mills due to environmental problems. Look at Pmetal, also in commodity, its mkt cap has increased from a mere 5b to today's near to 50b. Hiaptek also has such growth potential... and malaysia has two cost leaders in steel rebar mills, ie Ann Joo and Hiaptek's Eastern Steel.

Hiaptek's Eastern Steel got tax exemption so its impact is very minimal. Only trading arm is affected. Can trading arm make more than RM 100m profit per year?

PMB profit is tax exempted for 5 years or 10 years ( cannot remember) as it is operating under Sarawak green zon ( Just like West Msia East Corridor which needs to attract new investment) per RHB's Press Metal. So it is not affected
