Dear Mr OTB
I have some Wong bought at low price. As soon as its price increased to 80sen i quickly sold to take profit. I posted this in the morning 10/1/2022 when share price was around 80 sen as follows
Wong 12 month PBT by segments per latest quarterly report as follows
Manufacturing profit RM 4.8 m
Construction profit RM 7.3 m
Construction project at tail end with no more new projects. I like the manufacturing segment but not the construction segment.
Do you still bullish on Wong in term of FA?
Can Wong double manufacturing profit to RM 9m? If RM 9m x 20 times = RM 180m mkt cap at the max....
Look like price has found support. This stock NTA is 71sen.

Technical Tracker - DNEX: Up Up and Away
Author: HLInvest | Publish date: Mon, 3 Jan 2022, 9:34 AM
Transforming into a global and resilient business. Starting with 3 original main clusters (System Integration & Consultancy, Trade Facilitation, and Telco), DNEX had completed its strategic investment in SilTerra and Ping Petroleum in FY21 to venture into the energy and the technology sectors. To recap, the two new divisions contributed 84% of the group revenue in 1QFY22.
Buoyant technology outlook. With semiconductors shortage showing no signs of abating, SilTerra’s wafer per mask layers (WPML) ASP surged 23% YoY from USD16.8 in 1QFY21 to USD20.8 in 1QFY22. Going into FY2022, WPML ASP is expected to stay buoyant, with a high possibility to increase by another 25% to USD25 per mask layer on the back of robust demand, which bodes well to SilTerra’s bottom line. On the other hand, the group initiative on improving productivity will drive its short-term growth prospects. Note that, SilTerra’s wafer Fabout performance has been improving from 91,045 units in 2QFY21 to a record high of 96,141 units in 1QFY22 under this initiative. Apart from its core products, DNEX will allocate ~20% of its wafer capacity to produce new emerging technology platforms such as Silicon Photonics, Life Science, and MEMS in FY23 for the application of Data Science & AI, RF Filters for 5G, and DNA Sequencing, where the ASP is 3x higher than their core products.
Anticipate a robust 2Q and beyond. To recap, with just 2 months of contribution from SilTerra, DNEX posted a core PATAMI of RM41.3m in its 1QFY22 result. Moving forward, DNEX is envisaged to register stronger QoQ results underpinned by (1) full contribution from SilTerra amid higher WPML ASP and better wafer Fabout performance; (2) higher production from Ping Petroleum; (3) trade facilitation division (via regional expansion, deeper B2B offerings and expand into non-National Single Window stakeholders); (4) submarine cable installation arising from growing regional telecommunication connectivity and (5) tapping the RM70bn digital transformation investment plan by 2025.
Range bound. Technically, DNEX is trading within its consolidation area of RM0.735- 0.865, with indicators showing uptick bias. A successful breakout above RM0.785 will lift the prices toward RM0.830-0.880 territories. Cut lost at RM0.715

@value_seeker, i have some value stock like Harta, Genting, Inno as mentioned above. These stocks are paying dividends regularly as such i lazy to adjust portfolio...if not adjust it will look ugly... As such i only include this high growth or undervalued small cap stocks as portpolio for sharing and I have allocated about 50% of my funds in this portfolio for Msian stocks.
I have some financial stocks like CIMB when i bought last year at around RM 3.20 but i have sold it around RM 4.80-4.90. Generally i do not like Msia big cap stocks like Maybank due to its little room for growth unless they are selling at distress price like that of last year March 2020-May 2020.
There are currently a lot of value stocks in HK and China. In addition to Alibaba and Tencent which have dropped between 30%-50%. i also bought big on HK Tech ETF.

PMB Tech gets more energy to power expansion
KUCHING: PMB Technology Bhd has secured an additional supply of 25-megawatt (MW) electricity from Syarikat Sesco Bhd to power the production expansion of its metallic silicon plant in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu, Sarawak.
Its wholly-owned subsidiary PMB Silicon Sdn Bhd entered into a legally binding term sheet with SESCo last week, which would be formalised with an agreement later to revise the amended and restated power purchase agreement to, inter alia, increase the existing supply of electricity at its metallic silicon plant from 104MW to 129MW.
PMB Tech said the additional electricity supply is due to an expansion of operations at the silicon facility.
PMB Tech is an associate of Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd, which is South-East Asia’s largest integrated aluminium producer. PMB Tech diversified into the manufacturing of metallic silicon with an investment of some RM320mil in Phase 1 of the plant with an annual production capacity of 36,000 tonnes in 2018.
Metallic silicon, according to the company, is a vital raw material with a compounded annual growth of 4% globally.
PMB Tech’s earnings have received a major boost this year, thanks to the strong metallic silicon prices. In the first nine months to September 2021, PMB Tech’s group net profit soared to RM45.5mil from RM11.8mil a year ago, as revenue climbed to RM542.8mil from RM409mil.
According to CEO Koon Poh Ming, the price of metallic silicon has risen to a record high, as the commodity market has reacted positively to the fast recovery of the world economy from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said the surge in the metallic silicon price was primarily caused by the initiative of the Chinese government to cut back on the power supply as well as tightening of environmental control in China.
However, the company expects the record high metallic silicon price to correct by itself and stabilise in the near future.
With the recent encouraging commodities market, Koon said the group is expected to benefit from the positive movement in the price of metallic silicon after offsetting higher logistics, raw material and operating cost.
He said the group’s other aluminium businesses are gradually moving into the positive position.
The group is into manufacturing of aluminium access equipment, marketing and trading of other related products while its construction and fabrication segment is involved in contracting, designing and fabrication of aluminium curtain wall, cladding system and system formwork.

It also has few superapps that can monetize via IPO etc...

Haha, SSlee, i already warmed the investors here to run when Airasia was above RM 1 but many don't believe as i am one of the naysayers and now the price is 80sen.
However i bet on Airasia loan stock by buying LR at around 2 sen and subscribed to loan stocks as it was very attractive and worth the bet. I have sold all free warrant during first trading day at 22 sen. If i sold my loan stock today, my profit will be around 13.5% (ie 11sen/77sen), a good return. I told readers here i will buy and bet on loan stocks.
A million question : Should i sell my loan stock at 75 sen today and continue to receive 8% interest per year?
Can airasia doing its AAX way to repay its creditors?
Tony needs to have another magic to get Airasia out of PN17. and He has invested heavily on this loan stock.....

Prospects
Looking ahead, the Group anticipates positive near to medium term outlook supported by healthy orders in the Manufacturing segment from customers in the semiconductor and E&E sector. On top of that, the Group is working towards finalizing and confirming orders from new customers as we venture into offering higher value-added services and expansion into large complex assembly and structure for the semiconductor industry. We are also exploring for opportunities to expand into medical devices sector following our ISO 13485 certification.
With more than 80% of our employees being fully vaccinated, the factory operation has resumed 100% capacity by end of September 2021.
Nevertheless, the operating environment remains harsh with escalating input cost pressure arising from surge in cost of raw materials, logistics and shortages in supply chain apart from concerns over the emergence of new variant of concern for the Covid-19 pandemic.
