General sequence: News of venture / expansion followed by PP, so that the market knows what the money injection is to propel the growth.
Good that things are explained clearly in the property investment side too.

As part of the group’s strategy for the next five years, Ooi said the group was in the process of acquiring the 1st Avenue Mall to diversify into the property management business.
“The acquisition exercise, scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter 2019, will diversify 25% or more of the consolidated net assets of IUBIB into property investment holding, which differs from the property development operations currently carried on by IUBIB and its subsidiaries.
“1st Avenue’s acquisition would provide the group with a stable source of income.”
“The property has potential to be redeveloped in the future as it is in a prime and strategic location on the island, ” Ooi added.
According to Ooi, the rental of retail space is stable for most shopping complexes in the country.
“One of Malaysians’ favourite past times is to visit malls as part of their leisure activities. Because of the shortage of land, malls with the size of 1st Avenue are limited, ” he said.
“Shopping malls at a prime area in Georgetown record high rentals as much as RM450 per sq m, while shopping malls in the South West District register rentals ranging from RM109 to RM292 per sq m, ” he said.

Thank you twinpeak. I know the math, but not sure about the definition used by Bursa.
Looking at the volume during 28/8 - 6/9 to push the price from RM 1.25 to 1.52, easily over 4 millions shares traded. Over the past 4 days from RM 1.45 to RM 1.30, around 0.5millions shares traded.

Anon. I can make money elsewhere. And it’s hardly bleeding, maybe a mosquitoe bite. And this stock is... a single counter in my lifetime. I can hold 5 or 20 stocks at this moment.
How about you? You’re stuck with your psychotic character for lifetime. This character of yours, whatever you make out of it, will stay with you everyday and it represent 100% of you. From the pattern, it seems that there’re 2 parties. One was trying to push it up a little when another suddenly came in to press it down and also parked 1,000+ lots at RM 1.40 to show for a while... Finally they agreed to keep it at RM 1.40.

Just thinking objectively, why aren’t the big boys coordinated? I know there’s a imminent PP and also 1:2 share split. Why spend millions to push the price up only to later press it back down for PP and then later push it back up? Burning money eh.
Why cannot do PP at RM 1.30-1.40 and then push it higher from where it is now?

How did they push from rm 1.00 to 1.50 while unloading millions of shares? If you do the count, it’s extremely difficult for a counter with such a low daily transaction volume. From RM1.0X when they wanted to push up, a lot more ppl are at the selling end because it was deemed a light at the end of tunnel for them... Not many joined the band wagon to buy.
Twinpeak, I guess you’re right. I just feel a bit helpless sometimes. See them spent money to push up but don’t defend that support level... Or maybe I’m too noob, this is them doing right pocket left pocket to lure weak retailers to throw before they push somemore. Can only continue holding.

On a more serious note, buying mall will give IUBB a stream of more stable income, at the same time branching out into a different business different from its usual core one which is property.
90% occupation rate. The key is huge discount from market rate and the potential of what it could be. Very much like buying any other asset, you buy one which you can greatly improve to materialize its full potential. That’s how one can buy cheap and create value. Buying something that is already at its full potential at premium price just doesn’t make sense.
The subtle signs are showing. Maybe will go into construction later too looking at the tender for the Penang airport earlier. Same concept, wait until everything is bleeding obvious, then the value would already be reaped by ppl who bought it while it’s cheap.

You’re right that it went from a lowly sub-RM 1.0x to RM 1.49 in 2 months time. But this stock also went front RM 1.86 to RM 1.04 in less than 1.5 months’ time. TA doesn’t quite work here, sometimes the volume dries up entirely, and a lot of shares are in the hands of same group of ppl.
Why the sudden drop from RM 1.86 to RM 1.04 previously? The news only came out when it bottomed. So why did the price go up so fiercely this round?

Annualized EPS is around 16 cents assuming no improvement in profit. I feel that there’re a lot of rooms to grow, especially the potential to get projects on PMTP and even airport expansion. Now also trading building materials. PE 10 means RM 1.60. PE 15 means RM 2.40. It shouldn’t be at RM 1.4x ba. Now it even started giving out dividend.

But the question you posted to Anon is similar to what I wanted to ask but I withheld because I knew it’s just a waste of time (although I am also not sure about your claim of RM 16m net profit without making reference to the current share price), and also your comment to Anoym177 is akin to reading my mind.

My thought/guess is that... the boss once brought the price down for corporate exercise. Now that it’s done / almost done, it’s time to build a new base price before the release of some good news / results to propel further. I have to declare, this is me doing 100% speculations. Do not trade based on this.
If it were the same buyer, he has already spent around RM 4m to 5m getting the price from RM 1.1+ to where it is now... if he’s selling to himself, then it seems quite silly that he has to fight with himself at the 1.40-1.45 price range...
Only one way to find out, sit it out... I wish that this is a genuine uptrend.

What is expectation?
Previous 3-4 projects either completed or at end stage with no replacements.
Injected 3-4 new projects all at early stages (won’t be contributing too much profit, if any).
Share base inflated by > 4times.
Potential beneficiary of PMTP.
Macro, Trump and Xi fighting non-stop with other issues in Europe, HK, etc...
I really don’t know what the market expectation would be anymore.
463.5m shares. I predict 2.5 to 3.0 cents EPS but better quarters going forward. However, what would the PE be? 12? 15?

Someone spent c RM 2 mil to push the price up to RM 1.41. Supported at RM 1.30 for 3 weeks (could be a different person), then now just let it free fall. I don’t understand.
But I know Alex asked for shareholders’ votes to allow company buyback to stabilize share price. Why didn’t he do something?

Now this forum has a nutcase, anything others post that is not from this nutcase he’ll personal attack you. I hold 1 ID, I posted relevant news from reliable sources (bursa, news portal, etc), and I got attacked. This happened to many others.
