Yes passerby, I'm a low profile player rather an investor. I don't use the proper method to estimate the FV for long term ; I only use the trend of the rev. and earning from the quarterly report to estimate the FV one year down the road with the bias towards underestimate. ( it's safer to underestimate ).
I only choose the safe counters which can withstand the market correction.

I'm not a sifu so I can't answer the question, but I can tell you this, Kfima is mine kind of a share; after buying it I don't mind it drops further cos. I can collect more at a cheaper price.

Let it sleep ; it's still the best bet to take , with the ratio of potential increase in FV to the drop in FV at least 5 to 1 and the chance of getting the increase is more than 50:50, the odd is in favour of the risk so I took the bet and added more weight.
Check: is it demanding to give the FV of 2.30 to a growing stock with the EPS of .30 or more and a cash coffer of .95 per share ?

Cheer up bro. in this uptrend market where lots of 2nd and 3rd liners trying to level with the gain of the leaders, we certainly have more miss than hit. Just forget the miss but enjoy the hit.
looks like I'll have another miss--Mflour, hope you can enjoy your hit. Cheer !

Since it started moving I have not sold a single lot yet. I sincerely hope that it takes over Fimacorp ( the news surfaced last year but faded away ) now that Kfima is in a better position to do so , be it cash offer or cash plus shares, it certainly will give us good gain when Kfima makes the offer. If the merger takes place the EPS of Kfima will jump to another level and so will its share price. Best is to wait for the news.

Hi KC the consolidation I refer to is market consolidation and not of Mflour which more or less has reached its bottom. The price won't drop much unless market makes a serious correction and this is what I'm trying to avoid since we are looking for long term.

I can't understand that there are more than a thousand of counters in the market and yet many still like to play this counter knowing fully well that the other party has the advantage.

Don't hantam, spread your investment. To maximize the dividend yield make sure that the x-div. price should not be less than the purchase price at the time try to make the time of investment as short as possible.,remember ! 2% in three months is 8% per annum .
Regularly check the quarterly report of div. paying companies to see any dividend proposed will help.

Wow it's a surprise ! I picked this stock based on its fundamental and the ability of the management to pull back the company from the rim of its trouble, really never dream of this bonus.

Agree, if 1.50 is a good buy 1.40 will be even better, but i think it's hard to drop to this level. This stock is in my must buy list but I have yet to purchase.

Tand3, the share has been diluted 5 times it'll be hard to maintain the type of dividend before.

Look like playing this stock is tantamount to going up to Genting, Lots of if ,hope and guessing,so before jumping into the pool see that you know how to swim with the sharks. Btw, I don't see any shark here in this forum, guess where are the sharks come from ?

To those who plan to invest long term on this stock, please wait. This is a " has been ' stock after the bonus and split, it won't bloom again that fast so why must you expose to the risk of the on coming consolidation , go in after the correction and you'll have a better gain.

That was last year price when no one talked about it, Today the support is 1.18 and the resistance is 1.32 ; a few times try to clear this level but failed, use your Weida strategy you can make money on this stock; sell when it approaches 1.32 buy back when it drops back to 1.20
2012-07-26 09:58 | Report Abuse
Good ,sure can make on Weida. How about Multico you mentioned in the other forum ?
2012-07-25 22:14 | Report Abuse
Jian Bin, seem like we have a common interest. yes I have Multico since last july ,bought at 0.62 cum div. of 2.5 sen; and collected another 2012 1st interim of 3 sen, will get another 3 sen come this Oct., 2012 eps will be about 22 sen, growth is moderate but steady.
2012-07-25 12:46 | Report Abuse
Wow ! this means my gain in Weida will be tripled in 2014 but I still wonder how can this be achieved with the monthly production of FFB in the region of two to three hundred MT.

Just be careful, buy up trending stocks in bull market seems OK but if the market turns bad you still can lose; a better way is to buy up trending GROWING stocks.

Obviously it's a buy rather than hold, anyway I'm satisfied by just holding.

So it should be a buy rather than hold , right Fandi ?

Make a case study for Kfima , at today's price the profit has been more than 50% for the holder. But if Kfima takes over Fimacorp ( quite likely or hopefully ) its EPS will jump to 50sen level and the share price will follow. If not, the price today is at its FV,and even if the market downs its value should remain the same, so run or hold ?

Estimation of Weida EPS 0.60 for 2014 is very optimistic , the ave. earning per hectare is about Rm6000, moreover not all the 6000+ hectare of oil palm matured at the same time, they just completed planting last year, check the monthly production report to confirm. The move in its price may be due to some corporate good news and not the earning forecast.

Still can sleep soundly if we pick the fundamentally good stocks. When the correction comes the price may drop but not the value. Of cause the better way is wait for the correction first but can we wait.

So am I. I use the same PEGGY method to evaluate Mutico last year and purchased the stock at 0.62 cum div. of 2.5 sen, and today's quote is 1.29 . Thank you Polite market ! As for Hua Yang , I went in at 1.20, the gain is not too bad also.

During high tide all ships float high ; at this moment most stocks move higher or attempt to do so and that makes most of the trading system software look good 'cos there will be more hits than flops. Best time to evaluate a system should be during sideway market. Try to consider this.

Leave the noise aside, make your own judgement , on paper SOZO is fundamentally sound, the only setback is we doubt its account. But why doubt, quite a number of Malaysian companies also came out with manipulated account, and we still buy Malaysian stocks.Worse still ,some companies make profit and the management manipulates to its own benefit leaving nothing to the share holders. SOZO at least gives us something , I don't think it manipulates to give us money.

Kfima has enough cash to take over Fimaco, imagine the earning if this were to happen.
2012-09-24 16:50 | Report Abuse
fundamentally earning and share price goes hand in hand, if earning keeps increasing share price eventually will catch up, and if the share price moves up much faster than the earning it has to slow down for the earning to catch up. My observation is the price of Padini has moved too fast for its earning.

Based on fundamental, stock with the price of RM 2.5 normally has its EPS in the 30+ sen region ,hence it's quite hard for it to reach 2.5 at the end of 2012 unless.....?
2012-06-28 12:55 | Report Abuse
Even with good result the EPS at most is 16 sen , give it 20% growth for next year the EPS still cannot be more than 20 sen. Based on fundamental it's fully valued, however depending on trend or sentiment it may move up, but how much ?
2012-06-28 12:29 | Report Abuse
Not worth holding, upward gain is limited.
2012-06-27 14:26 | Report Abuse
As I said it before, for Kfima it will be hard to get at this price once the ESOS shares of certain weak holders are cleared.
2012-06-27 12:50 | Report Abuse
For long term Mutico can be considered , Q3 is coming out the latest end of June, should give 3Q a total of about 18 sen and hence full year EPS of about 25 sen. First interim of 3 sen paid and a final dividend of at least 3 sen can be expected , with today's price the forward PE is only 119/25=4.76.
2012-06-21 12:48 | Report Abuse
If not mistaken the exchange price for DRS may be 1.00 which gives the ex-all price of 1.42 and the forward PE of about 10. Would you invest in this stock if it turns out this way?

Be patient with this stock, not all of their employees will cash out, it's only those who need the money sell. Given time it'll adjust to its FV which should be in the region of 2.20. Anyway the support of 1.80+ is very strong so the downside is quite limited.
2012-06-20 10:34 | Report Abuse
The earning and dividend is getting better also, it's definitely a growing stock. It will be hard to get at this price once the employees clear their stock obtained from the ESOS scheme.

ECM will be drifting at this level for a few months until shortly before and after the ex-date. So make your own decision , buy , hold or sell.
2012-06-18 23:23 | Report Abuse
Casual_investor, this only means that you get a discount of more than 50% of something worth 26 sen .It does not mean that you gain 14 sen unless the ex-all price is 26 sen and this will take a few months more to come. The question here is whether worth waiting that long or not.
2012-06-18 21:25 | Report Abuse
The date of entitlement and the ex-date has not been announced, only buying after ex-date will not be entitled to this repayment. But after ex-date the price can be...... well , try make a good guess.

After giving us back cash and KNN share the management retains about RM 216M cash which translates into 26 sen per share (derived from 216/827 outstd. shares). The cash and KNN shares add up to about 68 sen, so if you buy at 80 sen the investment cost for this 26 sen stock is 80-68= 12 sen only. Right ?

So far it works ,most likely because the market is on the uptrend for so long. When the market makes a serious correction guess I may have to hold the stocks longer, luckily most of them are good div. pay masters.
