Singapore IB funds have upgraded DNex to their clients

DNex board consist of 10 directors previously 8 members {day to day operations under the executive board which consist of 4 board members} very structure and streamline. the 10 members consist of Tan Sri Syed Zainal { Group CEO}, Dr ChenWei Min { Foxconn-Silterra}, Robert Fisher { Ping petroleum} retired MD of Exxon Mobil, Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat is the Chairman, Tun Noor Shahya and Muhd Radhi is the 2 additional new board members. Other board members are all professionals in finance, audit, law, engineering and management expertise.

Hlib research is very sanquine on DNex earnings. Highlighting on Silterra earnings. The writer is bullish on Silterra and their target price for DNex is 1.35.

Shell oil company is a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc headquarters in Netherlands. Shell oil company has been disposing off their assets for the past 6--10 years. In Asia they sold off their Port Dickson refinery to Heng Yuan, Indonesia they sold of their concession to Pertamina, in Philippines to Petron. DNex acquired the 30% stalk in Ping petroleum way back in 2016 when Crude oil price was at their low end { USD 30 - USD 40}. The additional 60% in Ping petroleum was acquired in July 2021 when oil was trading between USD 60 - USD 70 per barrel { before Oil was spike up to current USD 90 per barrel.} Based on DNex management minutes in 2016 the cost of production in Anasuria oilfield at the North Sea, UK was below USD 20 per barrel { production cost excluding the non related development EBITA } current crude prices has slip from the high of USD 93 per barrel to USD 89 price on profit taking as rally cools after 5 - 6 days of oil trading { Bloomberg news}

Saudi & Opec+ {Russia} are not increasing their quota despite the jump in crude prices. Inflation is creeping up. Look at soft commodities bull run

Big players are buying into Dnex for the past 4 - 5 trading days. Look at the daily volume transacted since Jan 17. tracking the daily volume showed substantial trades transacted by block deals or directly thru brokers. Certainly looks like certain parties are accumulating in the open market. Not a buy call but based on volume, price and charts

What's worrying Rubbrex Board holding 240 Million cash never paid out a single sen to thier minorities suffering shareholders {unlike TGlove, Supermax, Kossan or Harta} . when they are making big profit in the last 2 years. Instead they buy into the uncompleted mall for 181 Million { a 20% stake in the Empire City Mall} looks like Rubbrex may increased further their stake to complete the Mall. The Shopping mall project is one part of the Mamorth Empire Damansara development. For equity accounting Rubbrex need to upp their stake....but unless they raise additional funds thru private placement or rights etc

The enlarge Board { if I am not mistaken} inclusive of Tun Noor Shahya is 2 out of the 10 members. Last year we DNex have appointed Dr Chen { Foxconn} to oversee Silltera and Robert Fisher to oversee Ping Petroleum. He was the ex MD of Exxonmobli { Malaysia}

Need to see how DNex close today. Either push higher or trend sideway.if push & break new ground 86 - 87 level

More likely SOP dividend pay out interim at 4 sen { 30/12} & final 5 or maybe 6 sen. Just my own guess

Everything have a risk vs reward ratio. If you believed DNex in 3 months time can reach your TP of 1.20 vs the downward trend of 80 sen. Then the ratio is definitely worth it. Not a buy call just a hypothesis scenario

20% stake in Empire City, Damansara Perdana needs 3-5 years time frame to mature. 20% stake unable to apportion whatever earnings in their group consolidated accounts. Except writing off the goodwill proportion under FRS accounting rule
