HLT has gone unnoticed by the market that it has a subsidiary making rubber gloves with 1 bil pieces annual capacity which is similar to Rubberex and 25% of Careplus capacity.

Now who says the glove business is in its plateau.

It has breached 0.48 today, next stop, looks like 0.54. The momentum is strong according to the charts bu volume is not high yet. At its height months ago, if you recall, momentum was at least 10 times today. But the day is still young. So let's watch

Wow, no wonder it is flying. If RE funds are eyeing it, at least it is worth 0.10 now.

Gloves are unique - we are all here talking about glove use as in medical utilisation. Eventually, this will be the norm of most service industry, be it food and beverage or others. What the market is seeing is demand for prophylactic use of gloves. We have not even scratched the surface of social use of gloves - i am sure creative companies will find creative ways to market their products and expand market mix and profits.

Market still uncertain. Once that uncertainty breaks out into a rise, it will be so fast that you wont have time to catch your breath. Over the last two weeks, you saw the slide. Look at the chart now. Overbought and sensibility will kick in soon. It's a wonder directors of the company do not have the integrity to defend its own shares - i would imagine that they would have increased their shareholding to mop up the additional shares created by warrant conversion.

Comrade-at-arms. Today as you opened your computers and handphones and look at your stock of this counter, I'm almost sure you'll be disappointed. The price has dropped to the low the mid 30sen last week. Is it unexpected? Actually no. Charters will tell you that it's foreseen. But the market uncertainty confirmed it.

If you are looking at the charts today, you'll see that it's heavily oversold. You don't have to be very smart or to know charts to understand what happens after the oversold stage.

You need to ask yourselves if the gloves industry will see better days. What do you think? So far, all the glove stocks rose because of the confidence in demand - that healthcare needs are spiking. And the same stocks got trashed because in many countries, Covid 19 is beaten.

But did anyone think for a moment that there is a larger demand for gloves that have not been explored when services and industries open? Housewives, people working in food industries, and if you put on your thinking cap, I'm sure you can find new uses for gloves.

As you can see, new buying opportunities are opening up for the already discounted warrant. At 0.38sen, if you decide to convert, you only pay 0.58 to acquire the mother share. This is the discrepancy shareholders of mothershare will have to contend with. Mother share at moment of writing is 62sen.
As it is, waiting at 35sen is not too late.

At noon today, some things to take note of:
1) Volume is less than 10 mil (at its height, it was 30x that number)
2) Stochastic Oscillator K%D is now below 20%
3) 14-day RSI at 30% line (OVERSOLD)

I think it is bottoming out but since this is already second last day of the week, very unlikely will there be any major movement unless something unearthly takes place

At current 64.5sen, warrants (minus 0.20 premium) is cheaper now at 0.41. The warrants are currently oversold, almost at the bottom of the Stochastic 20%line. Mothershare too is almost there - and fundamentals being constant, all who have run out of extra cash, should just do themselves less emotional damage by not checking in.

Looks like those holding rights, to get 2 warrants, will have to subscribe to 3 shares @ 3sen. Should be cheaper to buy from market.

Take a breather guys, spending time look at the boards is useless unless you are scouting. Nothing much will happen possibly till month end.

@bone .. I think possibly a deficient marketing department. Or market intelligence did not anticipate the severity of Covid. Dont forget, China only announced the epidemic in January and between that and March was the Chinese New Year celebrations. By the time they wanted to crank up production, Covid was here and everything was kinda messy. Be that as it may, we are looking at facts here - their profits are good. If this does not knock sense into the most discerning investor, then what gives? People say, Show me the money and it's all there in the report.

I am just analysing the statistical values - not presumed value, so I dont know. My guess is HLT does not have a good investor relations department, and so the good things, if any, do not find its way to the shareholders. This is as bad as having a badly run accounting department.

If you analyse the results of Carepls and pitch them against HLT, you will see that the Q-to-Q results compared, HLT profit (nett) is twice that of Carepls - 2.6mil against 1.14mil; EPS of 0.51 against 0.21. What do you mean this counter does not look good- is there another way of interpreting the results that we have all missed?

Remember this moment well, traders. This is what Buffet would describe as a sea of red - for no reason there is a sell-down triggered by irrational thinking and fear. This is what Buffet says to buy when people are fearful. Study the fundamentals and if it is intact, that is the deciding factor

The difference between punting and real investing is the latter usually comes up tops at the end of te game which can last a long time. Punters, on the other hand, make quick gains based on whatever suits their reasoning.

That said, for those who are neither punters nor investors, who are into this game because it appears to offer the low-hanging fruit of easy money, it is best to at least have functional reasoning and a willingness to study what is in store.

If you buy a stock, you would have at least made some research into things like: Is the company profitable this time compared to previously, if it is profitable is it more nett profitable than the same companies that are its competitors, and if so, what is the share's earning ratio since that is a good benchmark.

And once this fact has been established, more research should be taken to see the current diversification - if the company has taken the steps to move in the direction of its business and future expansion.

And finally, not final, to look into its liabilities of debt servicing and accumulation of depreciating assets. Lastly, not least, should then be the peoples - not one but entirely - running the show. The board, in general, makes up what kind of prestige a company draws. This charisma attracts a good team of workers willing to die for the company or just hangers on.

As for HLT, I think a lot of fundamental discussions have been made by intelligent persons here. And a lot more reasonable thinking persons going in to sell or buy will be able to make fruitful decisions that can influence the profitability of their calls.

HLT's business diversity is also very strong and will prepare it for the coming months when gloves will be a lifestyle need. Its gloves dipping lines is seeing five orders being fulfilled - two local, three foreign - with almost 25% profit margin. The foreign exchange will also add more to the next quarter earnings.

I would think tomorrow will be the day some of the more optimistic of us have been looking for.

Yes, that piece of old news is something many missed. It cuts costs by almost 30% and in the heat of overproduction needs, imagine companies effecting it would save. The thing about HLT I think is it has finger in almost every important pie in the gloves business. Superdiversification which I think will be working in its favour even after the Covid years. Alone it didnt not appear appealing as a stock but after you look into its involvement, mostly strategic, with other fields and partners - only then you know why it is pretty solid.

Today's agm.. they may choose this day to announce so that they can answer questions. I am just speculating - if it is good results, giving it out today would let the directors brag a bit. If results not good, announcing it today, they can use the opportunity to explain but chances are they will be bombarded by shareholders like crazy. So, what do you think - good results or poor results?

DJI dipped on Friday, so tomorrow, there will be mixed signals. For those who know what they are doing, there will be less anxious moments. For those who dont, it will be watch-your-neighbour kind of situation. Although TA is promising, it is still a scary situation. But I think we will survive

If you take a look at four glove stocks - all except Topglov show bullish engulfing in various intensities. My take is: The big boys are playing TopGlove while the midstream swimmers are going for affordable stocks. Comparing prices of Carepls, HLT and Hartalega, HLT seems the cheapest. May I hazard a guess that monday will see more hitting HLT than there are today with hopefully a higher volume to support the rise

Your prescription is very apt. Usually I raise my targets and cutloss even before going in. Once the numbers are punched in, I leave it to market forces to take care of my deals. Sometimes you catch it in time, cancel as the highs go higher and make more, sometimes you forget but the cutloss kicks in and save your back. That is how investing in uncertain times can be made less stressful.

Precisely as what the article says. All gloves stocks are hit. For some, it is a pullback. For a few, the pullback went overboard - which is what I feel HLT is experiencing. If you consider the fundamentals of Carepls, Top Gloves, and HLT, the latter is more diversified in the gloves business - from supply of raw materials to the finished product (someone did indicate that they also produce gloves) and also the dipping business. The highest price of HLT was RM1.01 struck on June 2 - exactly 17 days from today. Today, the pullback was 35% to the hovering price of about RM0.65. Carepls hit 1.89 on about the same period and dropped to 1.24, a 65sen drop or 34% from its highest high. You can do similar calculations for the remaining ones. So, whoever has the cash, depending on their interest on which business, the market has virtually opened up within reach for them. Sometimes in times of panic and pain, we forgot about commonsense. Now, that is how we fail and some people benefit.

look guys, if you look at all the gloves counters, the same red slide is similar - From Harta ro Carepls. I have just gone in - not much but to break even my earlier losses to a much bearable level should it rise and go back to the original uptrend. People may say that it is crazy, but let's see. You either win or you lose. If you stay focussed and detached from it, those are only numbers. What goes down will come up - and at its worst, it will come up. Looking around, the Covid cases have again reared their ugly heads - from Beijing to US. This global pandemic is not letting down yet - and even if it is, new living norms would put demand for gloves at a higher notch than before. Frankly, I feel that HLT is is a better shape to weather this storm - they are involved in the entire "supply chain" from rubber to gloves, and the dipping lines as well. So, my advice, dont panic if you didnt borrow to invest. If you invest, and invest for the long term, just wait out the storm. No storms last a hundred days

I just caught the falling knife to average out. I have a feeling this cannot be falling forever. Dont be mistaken - do not borrow to play. You will then be at the mercy of time. If you are playing your own money, this is as good a bargain as any. I believe this is an oversold situation where TA can be discounted for the moment.
