muscle....yes...PETRONAS was reported losing in the last quarter but what is the main cause of that? obviously it is the low oil price and how does it affects SKPetro? you can see their profit is lesser now but apparently it is still a profitable business...we are not dreaming as projects are all still running despite the low oil price and I can assure you they are still securing project in and outside Malaysia...I cant tell where the share price will go but fundamental wise...it is still strong.....cheers~

their profit of next quarter will be boosted again....my company got about 10 projects from them just in the first Q of the year....stay tuned....

how many panic seller or investor really study the plunging oil price effect on SKPetro and how large the effect is? oil price free falling...yup!! but does SKPetro got a single sen of profit from selling oil? think about it...oh ya...OPEC members do not wan to slow down production and PETRONAS going to cut down their CAPEX by 20%, some more they are out of shariah list now, so LESS project is floating in the market then LESS project to secure by SKPetro...my view is that OPEC decision has a solid punch on the oil price but not SKPetro because the projects in the market will definitely be continuing regardless the oil price...same thing happen when the oil price was hiking, number of project available did not increase tremendously as they are independent variables....the main issue now in my humble opinion is the shariah list, the so call a guide for fund managers to make their decisions. huge debt or gearing might be the reason of the delisting but this is the business nature of O&G industry that involved huge amount of cash flow and working capital. Also with CAPEX cutting down by PETRONAS, profit margin of Skpetro will be affected from 2015 onward....lastly, we had just been informed by SKPetro for another round of tender event in 2015...just for sharing...cheers~

activetrader : I dun think I need to be qualified to share my opinion here...so dun compare with whoever because I din offend anybody but u did....then I ask u back another question - u think when oil price dropping all oil company will stop their production and stop giving out contracts? my answer is NO. I am working in the industry on tendering new project. Those projects are still running and contractors still securing projects, fabrication of topside still in progress, ROV and supporting vessel still sailing around. And if you follow news SKPETRO had secured project up to 2016 and those are signed contracts. Panic selling always leads by those who has less knowing of the situation and always wanted to listen to specific news that favored his thinking...just for sharing...

yes....skpetro share price drop a lot since the oil price plunged....but does it really so directly related to the oil price movement? skpetro is service provider for oil company, they are not selling oil...unlike other industries like FMCG, oil is a need for everyone in the world. it is not something that you could easily find alternative to replace, of course there are some options. now the OPEC members do not want cut down their production of course oil price will free fall as supply is maintained. dun you think that when OPEC members refused to slow down production will lead to more utilization of skpetro service? think twice......once again be reminded skpetro is not a oil company like PETRONAS and Shell and Total, same to most of the oil & gas related company that listed in Malaysia BURSA.

btw...I was worry the sales of Element will all book in last quarter and lead to massive drop in sales for this quarter...obviously I am totally wrong
