Ringgit stronger overnight after 3% jump in oil. Good for Malaysia. These are tailwinds for AA. Hope AA rises again today!

The big picture on oil has improved significantly and I continue to think battered oil & gas stocks are beginning to look interesting. These are tailwinds for importers eg AA, Padini and F&B players. I would still give gloves a miss for now. Happy Investing!

Core net profit can mean different things to different analyst. Also, if research houses are really underestimating 1q16 profit, good also, after results you going to get upgrades and further upside to price!

AA opening reasonable! Hope can sustain. Still believe the big drop in US markets was partly discounted by the sharp fall in Asian bourses on Friday already.

As expected, US markets fell after much better than expected US retail sales. Need to monitor big picture closely. Would still give gloves the miss for now. Prefer stocks that are benefitting from the fall in commodities eg AA, Padini and F&B players. As usual, do your own research and don't follow anyone's calls blindly. Happy Investing!

May not get a big drop on Monday, suspect part of the US fall was discounted by the KLCI fall on Friday already.

AdCool, if you don't have them then ok. Just in case you had them, I wanted to let you know on Friday that the two stocks have their weights reduced in the coming MSCI rebalancing. On the retail sales, it was well above expectations and that is why US markets fell sharply. All these are big picture issues.
