top investment billionaires (not that i know any personally) may go looking for Sumatec-type penny-stock but only because they think it will turn into a non-penny stock. imho, normal man's got ego, empire makers got even bigger ego. If halim saad is looking to make his new empire in O&G, i think he will be looking to go beyond penny stock status. and maybe initial low investment to control however the operations for suma is pretty capital intensive.

anyway, this is my hypothesis which is called hot air until/if the price of suma goes up.

yah, good luck Dreamhunter. i too want to huat ahhhh & "over-invest" but i think my bola bola smaller than yours. agree with your big picture reading that upside is more as we are looking at a turnaround situation, plus ride with many influential investors in suma. TSHS was such a major player during the gogo 80s/90s that a 30c stock doesn't seem fitting for him. this is his chance to redeem his corporate status in bolehland after the renong debacle.

man, i also don't like to live in fear but i feel that i should be able to address both positive or negative points of the investment. my exposure in suma is rm50+k and i am small time compared to some big kakis here (maybe price drop i pick some more) but is a lot for me.

i really didn't mean to sound like a fear monger but sometimes have to play devil's advocate and ask myself 'negative' questions otherwise i may be too gung-ho because of my own bias. thanks for sharing your thoughts.

believe me, i have gone thru many of the old post but did not see. all i read is the 3 amigos selling etc etc. If it's "discussed and deliberated on the issues many times " should be simple for him (or you) to be gentleman and share or just don't say anything if you don't want to help, right? But i guess some people rather spend time writing something to put someone down to make themselves feel 'bigger'.

If sumatec condition is improving, why are the 3 major shareholders trying to dispose (everything?), dont they believe in the 'story'?

and why not do a off-mkt deal with halim or interested buyers if they want to dispose? maybe i missed something but just curious and wonder if anyone has some thoughts to share.

tomok81, this 86 million is just one off. to reach rm1, have to produce profitable operations first.

friend, this forum is for sharing stock picks and also stock discussion. Some people say "if you don't agree, don't follow lah" but the point is if he REALLY wanted to share his experience, then he should consider indulging those people with negative points iro the stock and state his logic/reasoning instead of brushing people off. You can see they have done their research also and the issues raised may have merit. i think a lot of learning comes from inquiring and bringing up different points; As it is now, it is not so much about sharing experience but someone telling another person to just listen.

I'm not saying JTiasa will crash&burn but the size of the debt will have an effect on the profit/expansion plans of the company. same with the yield. If you REALLY want to share your knowledge, you should be able to discuss different concerns about the stock openly.

ok lah, because of you i will tone it down. but seriously, imho telling someone "you cannot be a good investor and you need to attend my talk" is not very appropriate for a worldy man. and please stop making unnecessary comments complaining about trolls in every thread you visit.

anyone know why the profit performance for Q4 2012 is relatively poor eps 4.19? no explanation in their qtr report also (and considering the next 2 quarters the margin is so good). any thoughts?
