CW issuer only hedged those fund collected from their CW together with some of contingency fund for their CW.
Subsequently sales transaction is between retailer to retailer.
I believe Friday "initial" sell down was from those pressured issuers and they bought back at a higher price during market end. Hence, retailer won and everyone is happy with this short gain.

CIMB may stop buying from today onward as their CW fully hedged while the those CW issuers with running out of time are under pressure to push down the price to minimize their losses.
those issuers may attempt again to push down the price using other reason and tricks. This price maintenance only be end when the CW reach its maturity.

Question:
1. Do retailers have the sufficient capital(cash) to eat all IB ticket and pushing IB to buy back at a higher price?
2. Can retailers hold on the mother share till CW maturity?
3. Will there be another CW launch in this 30 days subject to who is the issuer?

If the general answer is no then the price will head south till CW mature.
It will be a painful for most retailers to see the price sliding down day by day.

Pls note the above is just my assumption/opinion and not an advise for trading/investing.

CIMB is the issuer of CW-CO. The money collected from the co sales will be put in to mother share for hedging purpose.
The more co sales will result in more buying of mother share. Hence mother share goes up and broke the sell down cycle.
I believe co was fully subscribed by looking the trxn vol.

For those intent to invest in cw n dont know how cw works, pls google on how cw works and what issuer do with the fund collected from cw.
You can use the cw info in klsescreener n calculate it in ms excel to simulate the risk n pricing.

@satan, IMO LFM=IB cw hedge fund, FFM nobody know till annual report is out. If you are the FFM will you buy at this price? Don't forget FFM is not a speculator else I rest my case.

@satan, if you calculate back RHB hedge fund is huge with the price increase from 7 to 17+ and sell down and buyback at lower price. I guess they may hold as much as 10mil share. Don't forget MACQ n Kenanga may also involve in the sell down. Retailer is still at the disadvantaged as we don't know what is IB nx move.

I only can say CiMB break the sell down cycle with new CW-CO. They hedge their fund collected from CW-CO. The uptrend only can continue if retailer are united n continue to buy but capital must be more than IB hedging fund. It will be short gain and long pain till end of February.

If RHB sold in the early morning they would have bought back at the last hour. It is part of their hedging otherwise they won't be able to control the cw payout. Pls note that they might lose on Friday but they will be back before the maturity.

CIMB may no longer need to buy mother for CO hedging.
Monday will see gun battle between retailer and CW issuer.

I guess CW-CO is fully subscribed.
