I know I work for contractor before before. We can lock the price for 3 months. But I doubt the term will be the same if there is material shortage. The price will surge and weak contractor will die out. It has happened in the past but I duno how serious the shortage now is.

If you are investing based on the mushroom venture u are probably not a good investor. Invest on the business that they are expert at. Not something u know nothing about the outcomes. Invest on their management and their expertise. Wether or not their new venture will succeed is a add on later on

@alexfoo theres no such thing as margin of safety if its a growing and bullish company. it doesnt apply. U need to take account into the future massive earning. Warren buffett also said about its okay to pay reasonable price for a good company better than cheap price for a bad company. So its okay to overpay a little bit.
