Generally export-based furniture stocks do not go up a lot compared to other groups (e.g gloves, technology, semiconductor) which also benefit from strong US$. Hopefully there are more room to go up.

FLBHD is probably the strongest based on its most recent quarterly report.

From the quarterly report:

"price of plywood has slowly coming down from its peak but it is still very high as compared to 2017 average price."

That is why the profit margin is higher than 2017 despite high raw material cost, thanks to higher USD selling price of their plywood.

Looks like the profit margin for the rest of the year should be better than 2017.

It will be great to see EPS 30 sen and share price RM3 again!

Relax... Peers like Vitrox, Elsoft, JHM are doing great. Very good QR and prices are on uptrend. Have some faith on export-based counters. Study the past history a few years ago when US$= RM4.5 and look at the graph. Just be patient.

it is normal for share price to drop after QR, even if it has a good report. The price drop may continue for a while. We just do not know. The result is very good despite its raw material cost is still quite high. Will get even better result when the cost of raw material goes down in the future.

you'd better sell some of your stock if they are not fundamentally good before the quarterly report.

QR should be better year-on-year for the next 3 quarters as the base numbers (2017Q3, 2017Q4, and 2018Q1) are pretty low .

I do not own this share but I think it is also another good export-based furniture stock.

Can anyone confirm if FLBHD and other companies are still facing log supply issue? The latest QR does not specifically mention the status now. I just take another look at the QR, it does mention "sufficient logs supply in this quarter".

I have to admit I only have small lots. Current price is not expensive. Definitely a keeper.

management already mentioned in quarterly report in Q1 that the shortage of component issue would continue in Q2. Also mentioned that 2H would be better. The result should not be a surprise

any weakness in export-based counters should be a good opportunity to add, especially when US$ is getting stronger.

it does not look like the big funds are in this stock any more. Without them, it is tough to go up again. The crack spread is also not exciting like before. It would be better to switch to other stocks.
