Many people don’t know that Bumi Armada generates very strong operating cash flow

It’s net profit is about RM250 mil per annum. But it’s annual depreciation charges is RM400 mil.

This means net operating cash flow (after servicing interest expenses) is about RM650 mil per annum.

China has GDP of USD14,000 billion

300 billion divided by 14,000 billion = 2%

It will only affect 2% of China's GDP, why would China surrender to accommodate US ?

what should you do now ?

Option 1 SELL - you can panic and sell off at a loss

Option 2 HOLD - you know the latest loss was due to timing of handover. Basically, they did not hand over any unit during this latest Q. In coming quarters, there will be exceptionally strong earnings coming in due to hand over of completed units. As investing is forward looking, we should at least hold on to our stocks

Option 3 BUY - Leverage on the price weakness to add more (bearing in mind Brexit still unresolved, don't say I don't warn you)

Option 1, 2 or 3, your money, your own decision

what had happened ? Why reported a loss ?

Of course we know the major earning contributor is UK. So to find out why they incur a loss, we need to look at UK operation.

The question now is : How much billing in U.K. during the latest quarter ?

Let me count for you :

(1) According to latest quarterly report, total unbilled UK sales as at May 2019 is RM10.14 bil

(2) As at February 2019, total unbilled U.K. Sales was RM9.73 bil

(3) During the 3 months from Feb until May 2019, they reported additional sales of RM410 mil (being 548 mil less 137 mil RM)

Now, apply the following formula :

Latest Unbilled Sales = Previous Unbilled Sales + Additional Sales During This Q - Billing During This Q

Move the parts around :

Billing During This Q = Previous Unbilled Sales + Additional Sales During This Q - Latest Unbilled Sales

= RM9.73 bil + RM0.41 bil - RM10.14 bil

= RM0.0 bil

Conclusion ?

During the latest Q, there is zero billing in U.K.

That explains why they reported a loss

If they can announce two more quarters of good results , the stock can reach 30 Sen, despite high gearing
