when there is plenty of earning to spare, go ahead and do a rights

it is better to properly capitalised and dilute EPS a bit rather than make huge EPS but everyday needs to keep looking over your shoulder

all I am saying is that I don't mind a rights

value88 Although some argue Armada may do right issue and it could be a good thing, I personally don't think Armada will carry out right issue in short term because :
I) At current low price, it is not feasible to do right issue.
ii) The management repeatedly mentioned they are not considering right issue now. In order to strengthen their balance sheet, their strategy is to re-structure short-term debt (done), and sell the idle vessels (on-going).

the stock market comprises a broad spectrum of players

some like quality, some like special situations

if we can stop attacking people that are different from us, there will be more peace in this world

I went there and congratulate the forumners instead

then go and buy Yinson lah

have you ever seen me go Yinson thread and bad mouth ?

what you said is only partially true

if you are Yoong Oon making mattress and make a cash call, I will be upset. Because the business is limited to Malaysia and not really scalable

but if you are a company like Armada that can venture overseas and has tremendous business potential, I am actually happy to tolerate short term pain by doing a cash call

that will enhance its sustainability and allows it to unlock its full potential by bidding for more contracts in the future

do a cash call, start afresh, gear up and grow again

fools and the mass knee jerk reaction every time there is a cash call

a contrarian investor that can think independently will see the nuances

and act differently

and Yinson recently did a perpetual sukuk issuance at 7.8% rate to raise funds

rights issue is bad only when there is lack of earnings

if there is strong earning and PER is low, rights can be a good thing

because it enhances sustainability

do you guys know that Armada did a massive rights in 2014 to finance expansion ? So did Yinson in 2012 (please double check timing)

when I buy into this stock, I am actually ready for a cash call

in my opinion , a rights will dilute EPS, but it will unlock overhang and expand PE multiple

If you read last week the Edge, it quoted the boss sundhilip Singh as saying that he targets to achieve market cap of RM500 mil by 2022

Divided by 170 mil shares, it will be RM3.00 per share

But of course on top of higher share price, increase of market cap can also be due to issuance of new shares for assets acquisitions (which the new boss has done recently)

That is why I said "potentially" RM3.00

Having said so, it seemed that the new boss has already worked out a plan how to grow the company going forward (otherwise won't so gungho quote the 500 mil figure)

Whether can achieve or not we wait and see loh

even if net margin is 5% (I diok , if lower than that), total construction net profit is already RM250 mil

lets say spread out over 5 years, every year construction net profit already RM50 mil.

add the water meter net profit of RM30 mil per annum (very very conservative), sustainable profit is easily RM80 mil per annum

market cap now is only RM670 mil, meaning prospective PER is only 8.5 times

attractive valuation + strong earning visibility + net cash balance sheet = BUY

EPF sold almost 47mil shares from 0 21 to 0.20, then 50mil+++ from 0.19 to 0.18

Then now acquire back 15m shares at 0.21 dated 27.6 2019??
