Many oil and gas companies currently listed on bursa are saddled with debts

I can accept they made "strategic error", because in 2014, oil price collapsed within a short span of few months. They have no time to adjust and react

But not the way debts built up in London Biscuits over such Long period of time (5 years). It has to be fraud

If these debt spiralling happens over a short period of time (half a year ?), it could be a strategic error

If it happened over an extended period of time (at least 5 years already), if the Boss cannot see the problem coming, he must be blind (or an idiot)

Believe me, no entrepreneurs that can successfully list a company on Bursa is an idiot

The last I check, he is not blind either

Not meant to be poking, but legitimate discussion. Armada gearing up to win all those contracts back then was a major factor in me not investing in the stock.

this is a fraud case

no competent CEO will gear up like this

I believe they deliberately geared up to flow cash out, all those Capex etc over the years.

basically siphon money from the banks that lend them

not simply wrong business model

Ex all price = (4 x 1.76) + (8 x 0) + (3 x 0.38) / (4 + 8 + 3) = 8.38 / 15 = 0.55

In early 2017, it went back up to 1.50

Gain = 172%

What do you mean collapse to 76 Sen ? LOL

Moron, Johore Tin did a massive split and bonus in September 2016 (2 for 1 followed by 1 for 3)

It made RM20 mil net profit when I called buy

In latest Q it’s net profit 11 mil per quarter without exceptional items

An old post (7.8.2015) by icon8888 on DLady, F&N and Johotin. All in the same sector. From the post, he liked Johotin (from my reading of his post).

Let us compare the prices of these companies, then and today.

Company Price (7/8/2015) Price (5/7/2019)
DLady 47.10 64.00
F&N 18.50 34.70
Johotin 1.49 1.37


Since 7/8/2015 till today, Johotin has capital loss while those who bought DLady and F&N have capital gain.


Again, Buffett's simple rule serve as a good guide.

It is better to buy a wonderful company at a good price than a good company at a wonderful price.

Go for quality. There is a lot of margin of safety in the company and your investment if you stay with quality.

Avoid gruesome company.


Please google how Buffett classifies his companies into Great, Good and Gruesome companies to learn more.
