Hello teacher, Uncle Koon is not YTL. Uncle is a portfolio investor in Jaks (albeit with bigger stake than CEO)
He has no interest in running the company. He makes his money he cabut
You can't compare him to ordinary Controlling shareholders like YTL

u go look at all reports and tell me which stock, the top 3 shareholders only hold warrants and without any mother shares at all.anyone with the calibre of uncle not the pariahs.....hehe

Who is going to sell ? Didn't I tell you 200 mil WR changed hand ?
Posted by apolloang > Dec 4, 2018 01:11 AM | Report Abuse
I know that but u think he can buy all the warrants? who gonna sell to him so much? even warrants up more than the mother in terms of percentage he won't recover his losses
2018-12-04 01:11 | Report Abuse
You are so so so wrong. I dealt with PLC bosses all the time, the moment they heard "warrants", their eyes light up with greed
Warrants are good stuff ah... it has leveraging effect, they all know it .....

I never saw crazy rich Asians sold mother and switch to warrants. I saw puny punters only does that.1st is liquidity factor
2018-12-04 01:08 | Report Abuse
Because with warrants, he does not need a single Mother share mah. Didn't you see small ciku icon8888 swap all Mother shares to warrants ? Didn't you read my article that if 25 Sen can make 61 Sen, why do you need 80 Sen to make 70 Sen ?
And also , warrants are not everything, there are other things to buy.
Confused ? Think harder !!!
Posted by apolloang > Dec 4, 2018 01:01 AM | Report Abuse
he no need to sell all the mother in order to switch to warrants.he just need to sell half his mother stocks he already can own 50% of the warrants already.why he wanna sell all mother shares? can u explain that?

I don't buy the margin call story
Can you believe the coincidence ? The rights went ex, and exactly within the few days, Uncle Koon was forced by margin call to sell his shares ?
Is that real forced selling or he is swapping to warrants ?
Come on lah ...

Lock in 389mil pound sales
They own 70% so is 272 mil pounds
Based on 5.3 translates to RM1.44 bill sales
Plus the RM6 bil unbilled sales, total unbilled sales is now RM7.4 bil
Extremely good earning visibility over next few years
And of course, more BTR are expected to sign next year as they still have other pieces of land bank

Yr sweet dreams in Wa will only comes true when mother reach RM1.50 or RM2.00 or higher
2018-12-03 08:51 | Report Abuse
To be honest, I don't think your opinion below is wrong. But neither am I too excited about it. I just like the warrants at 25 sen so that when Vietnam's war ship bombarded China oil rig (because Trump guarantee to the Vietcong that it is ok to do so) , I only have 25 sen to lose, not 50 sen
of course I know WA is expensive from conversion premium point of view, but I can live with this temporary anomaly
because I think it is worth RM1.80 ultimately
Posted by CharlesT > Dec 3, 2018 08:46 AM | Report Abuse
Anyway I think JAKS at 0.50 shall have limited downside by now...should bet on mother io WA at 0.25 at this level
2018-12-03 08:47 | Report Abuse
oh I see... you misunderstand me...
I didn't switch 1 Jaks at 0.80 to 3.5 WA at 0.25
I switched 1 jaks at 0.80 to 1 WA at 0.25
Posted by CharlesT > Dec 3, 2018 08:43 AM | Report Abuse
Losing 0.25 in WA is better than losing 0.50 in mother?
Same same 100% loss loh
Unless u reduce yr total exposure in JAKS/JAKS-WA
Dont tell u u sell 1K jAKS at 0.80 and switch to 3.5WA at 0.25 and then u will lose less loh if JaKS go Holland

I notice many people finds it difficult to decide on jaks because they fear downside risk. Even our friend investor999 (who I notice is a rational thinker), worry about "losing money". But once you realise that it is merely paper loss , then the whole situation becomes much more easier to understand and decide
Just buy and dumb dumb hold IF you believe in Jaks prospects. I think both Mother and Son are good at this level

Thanks dk66 for your advice. Likely I will subscribe in full
2018-12-02 21:43 | Report Abuse
DK66 what is your opinion ? Should I subscribe for the rights at 25 sen or should I wait for them to be listed with hope of collecting below 25 sen ?
2018-12-02 21:43 | Report Abuse
When I said in my yesterday article "But I decided to hold it anyway", I was referring to my decision few months back to continue holding my shares despite my belated opinion that the price might crash.
When I said in my today article "Uncle Koon is not the only one selling his Jaks shares. I did the same on 21 November 2018", I was referring to my decision to finally sell those shares (that I have been holding since few months back) and swap to warrants.
There is no contradiction lah. You really should learn to be less paranoid about people cheating you. It is not healthy. LOL
============
KLCI King Yesterday said HOLD, now said SOLD, so contradicting!
So, which one is rubbish? Which one is a lie?
Today Icon8888 said:
Uncle Koon is not the only one selling his Jaks shares. I did the same on 21 November 2018 after the Rights Issue has gone ex. Subsequently on 22 November 2018, after the rights were listed, I bought more at 6 sen.
Icon8888 wrote below yesterday:
I have predicted Jaks price collapse a few months back (belatedly after I bought it. But I decided to hold it anyway, albeit at curtailed exposure). I have given hints in this forum before about that, which I will dig out in the future to substantiate my claim. So far everything that happened matches my expectation and prediction.

you find this kind of concept alien because you have not really played big in the market. When you grow older and nest egg becomes bigger (in terms of actual money). Many of the things will begin to make sense.
2018-12-02 15:41 | Report Abuse
if your portfolio is RM100K, you put 50% of your money in one stock, that is RM50k.
Is 50% big ? Yes.
But is RM50k big ? Nope. Most Malaysians can afford to lose it.
However, if your portfolio is RM100 mil (just an example, not to say that I have it), 15% of your portfolio translates into RM15 mil.
In Malaysia, RM15 mil is a lot of money. It is an amount that I will hate to lose.
So, when someone say he goes big into something by punting 15% of his portfolio, there is nothing contradictory in that statement
Is that so difficult to understand ?
===========
Jon Choivo That is a very interesting way of looking at risk management.
One thing i've always found interesting is how veterans here often say they are going in big, and it turns out to be 15% and now 4% of portfolio, which is probably not what the average retailer considers big, but speaks a lot about the experience of these veterans ability to manage risk.
2018-12-02 10:24 | Report Abuse
No, he is not. I dare to speak on behalf of him because I have the same view as him with regards to Jaks. So, I sort of understand him. DK66 is just speaking sincerely out of his heart how he feels about Jaks (based on positive feeling of Jaks). This is exactly what I have been doing all this while. It is just that when disbelievers see what we say, they will immediately think that we have ulterior motives
In a nutshell, the colour of the glasses you wear determine the colour of the world you see
CharlesT I hv been thinking abt this for sometime..DK66 are u a pro promoterin jaks?

No. I just want a limited exposure through the warrants. If I buy mother shares, my maximum downside risk is 50 sen. If hold warrants the max risk is 25 sen. I will ignore the conversion premium, etc and just dumb dumb hold warrants.
The situation is risky. Not advisable to move too many times
========
Investor 999 Good morning Icon8888 I agreed that you have made a right decision switching mother share to wr 2 weeks ago but thing has changed cos mother share price dropped to 0.500 now, do you think investing in mother at 0.500 is better than subscribing warrant at 0.25?

This is because I dealt with successful entrepreneurs all the time. I know how much thoughts they put into things they do and how far they are always ahead of the crowd. Uncle Koon is one of those people. He has everything under control.

I have already anticipated you will say things like that. From day one, I already know you are a hopeless cynics that think everybody lies and con to make a living. I already mentioned in my article that I will provide irrefutable proof to substantiate my claim. Reserve your accusation of Canon behind horse until later stage when you actually see my proof. Now just be patient and wait
KLCI King People cannon behind horse when price up, they will get scolded for talking rubbish. This is first time I hear this kind of cannon behind horse when price collapsed.
Hard core rule in stock market is people buy share because they hope (not expect) price will up & sell/run when price will collapse. (LOOK carefully, not reduce but collapse!!!)
In Icon8888 case, he said he predicted, when one guy lose so much money, I really can’t understand the logic of such statement.
When the price drop more than 70% from the peak in less than a year, it is too much speculation & shit holes in it, no matter how sweet the talk, it is still sweet talk!
