# Market Overview - Despite the Dow closing at a record high yesterday, Asian stocks registered the longest weekly losing streak since June on tapering fear. Here in KLSE, the index has been hovering around the 1,800 level. The record high in the Dow and recent gains in major European markets have failed to lift up the sentiment here. As there is no adverse news to trigger any selling, we are seeing rotational play amongst the penny stocks which is conducive for speculative and short term play. Thus it is advisable to trade with caution. This is just my personal opinion.

# swee88 - I am not using FA just SA (see my earlier posting this morning). It's just a sense form all the years of experience. Of course not 100% reliable ! At 21.5 sen, I think the price has not really moved !

# MC - on GreenYB, this is what I mean by my SA. SPOT it before others do. I went in just recently at 20.5 sen even before it shows up in TA. Thus I have the early bird advantage. Even it does not move up and I have to cut loss, it will be very very minimal. And moreover it is a profitable company. But if the TA charts are correct, it may move to 25 sen or above thus giving a percentage return of 25% or more.

# connie9170 - glad that you enjoy the food at jeff kitchen. It's always full house, so you have to booked early. Dishes are simply but delicious and at reasonable prices. The other ones are LYJ, Tai Soon and another steamboat restaurant (Xiao Lao Wang) where you can find 20 over types of sauces to go with the steamboat dishes.

MC - Yes ! I trade almost everyday - mainly fun trades - as a hobby, as a past time whatever it can be said. But you know, being a contented and conservative person, I trade small, at times less 10 K for a counter, sometimes more but rarely more than 20k in a counter. Sometimes 1 counter, sometimes 3 or 4 counters. These fun trades are normally intra-day or within a week or 2. But at times If I have that sense may keep a little longer. You may call it speculating or trading. Of course I have several stocks which are really long term. I am not ambitious and do not expect to get rich from the market. So long as I can get some extra money from the market, well and good. I started daily trading since my retirement in June and so far so good - making money every month. Of course my type of trading benefits the stockbroking firm. Value of transactions per month about 400 to 500 K. You can read more about me if you go to my cube. I do not spot stocks on the trading day itself but one day before earlier. I will browse through the day's performance, look at their annual reports if need to and also take some cue (for TA/FA)from the experts here. A lot of work though !

# MC - as you know I do a lot of short term trades and after 2 weeks, the volume was still low, so I dumped it to move on to other stocks. I just can't afford to hold all the stocks purchased as I do trading everyday (since I retired) unless my house is a gold mine (LOL)! It is simple logic, when the volume suddenly goes up with price increase. there must be something going on but we do not know when it is being goreng. Thus I am taking a chance to buy first before others do which gives me an advantage. Even if it does not move and I have to cut loss, it will be minimal. Of course I have to check that the company must be profitable and that the rise in volume and price is not a distribution process. Having said that, even though I sold off this counter to go into others, I did manage to make money in the other counters like Fibon, MMode etc.

# CT - MC has already put it correctly, from STRESS to STRENGTH, Just about another 30 trading days to make it a memorable and profitable year !

# MC - you know my SA is not based on good or bad points. Just the sense and the feel ! I have mentioned PNEPCB and PICorp (but both not profitable). Thus have to monitor their movements very closely. Worried about the timing though. Like what happened to SCICOM (see my posting below to choolooi)

# choolooi - low risk in the sense I go in before others do and when the price is ready to take off or has just taken off. Of course there are instances where there is no take off at all or where it is just a one day play. Like Scicom I entered (too early) at 49.5 sen in September when I spotted it but sold off also too early 2 weeks later and made a few sen.
Now the volume has spiked up and it closed at 76.5 sen last Friday.

# CT - we still need your input on the charts. Remember tomorrow is another challenging day. Perhaps you take a break now and wait for sweetie to come in. Okay ?
