# Hot.T - yes, Taman Wahyu curry fish is good> Been there once many years ago. Still operating? Now I go to Subang Jaya for the fish head curry (run by Chinese) !

# sjcm3 - kcchong got a point,. In fact he has not included some of the others which made huge gains like Fibon, Willow, Dsonic, Pintaras, Willow etc. Also on FLB which he concurs is a good stock for investing after I asked him.

Hot.T - of course the traditional nasi lemak stalls are still the best, like the one is Jalan 225 (PJ) and the one operating at the corridor of Maybank (Sea Park). Brilliant is in a more conducive environment (operated by Chinese). A plate of nasi lemak with a piece of chicken, 2 or 3 prawns (medium size) and a piece of sotong together with a bowl of ice kacang cost 16.80.

# Tessa - sorry but I see you talking about Alam in PMCorp thread. Worry might upset someone. That's the reason CT, TM932, hiddengem and myself set up this thread to discuss about everything.

Hot T - I also prefer hainan to old town or papa rich. In fact the nasi lemak in hainan also better. Brilliant is another outlet for good nasi lemak besides the traditional ones in Kampung Baru and Tanglin

# Messi - as long as you set yourself target prices to exit and comfortable with it, it should be alright. All the best to you and EAH - Eliminated All Hurdles

# Messi - good for you. But again timing to sell is the difficult part. I started selling too soon from 15.5 sen onward because a few times it is supposed to take off but did not materialize. If you have not started to clear, I would advise perhaps you may want to lock in your profits progressively. Just my opinion - ultimately you have to make your own decision.

# Messi - thanks but have been holding it more than 2 years from 23 sen (ex-bonus) first bought and averaging down. At last the flower has blossomed.

# MC - I still prefer the traditional local Kopi O or white coffee kau kau !

# CT - I am not going in for EAH as I still gave 300 lots on hand not sold (started selling since 15.5 - too early)!

# MC - no hurry about the dinner. Probably you will be enjoining your year-end holidays after Dec 5th. It can be held early next year or later. But really have to thank you for the offer to treat. Have a good meal and a pleasant time.

# messi - perhaps you may like to see my earlier positing on July 2nd about this stock. At that time because the price was stagnamt, no one paid heed to it.

Let's do a bit of analysis. Last year EAH made 5.9 million. The announcement says it secured a project for 59 million. Assuming a net margin of 10%, it comes to 5.9 million which is equivalent of the whole of last year's profit. Thus it is not logical for the share of the price to remain at current level. It's just a matter of holding power. Even if it goes up by 1 sen, it gives you a return of about 7.7% (based on closing price of 13 sen). Just be extra patient. The downside is limited with strong support at 12 sen.

# Tessa - Din Tai Fung's food okay but I do not consider it as a true restaurant !

# MC - I seldom do down to KL, the traffic is horrendous. Anyway I do not think that there are any good Chinese restaurant in Pavilion (I may be wrong). The ones that comes into my mind within the vicinity is Overseas Restaurant, Noble House and Imbi Palace.

# CT - as you know I am not a FA expert. But EAH has been profitable since the company was listed. There was a 1 for 2 bonus issue in late 2011 or early 2012. As for FA it does not meet kcchong's criteria - in terms of cash flow and asset type etc.

# MC - you are right, when more and more people talk about shares, the correction is just round the corner. You must be smart enough to protect your realized profits.

hidden gem - Hexza, Willow look good. TAS and Fibon can re enter on pull backs. I do not think highly of Censof though - just my opinion.

# MC - My Trading Strategy. We talked about GA in length during our recent discussion which makes me ponder whether GA is applicable to me since I am a small and conservative player. I now think it's not appropriate in my case but for you instead - a bigger player with higher stakes. So what type of trading (not investing) strategy am I using to best describe what I am doing. Finally I came up with one which is SA (SPOT Analysis). I select stock by spotting stocks (based on unusual trading trends, taking into account volume, prices and buying / selling ratios. I go in when the stock movement is getting ready or starting to move before being noticed by others. This gives me an advantage in buying low and minimizing risk if it does not rise. Of course most of the time I choose profitable companies as I browse through all the penny stocks every day to see their trend (I have the time now since fully retired a few months ago).
Specific examples are MJ Perak - when I first spotted it at 46 sen (notified CT) but did not go in. Then went in at 51.5 sen and sold 57 sen. As the volume increases it is being noticed by others and now Tessa just went in at 55.5 sen (no offence Tessa dear). Another case is Hovid in which I told CT who made some money (but I did not go in as I do normally to do chase after the price has gone up). Yet another case is FLB, I spotted and went in at 81 sen. It went up to 1.15 in a matter of 3 or 4 trading days. It happens to a few other counters which makes me more confident. In recent weeks I have profited from OCK, Inix, Infotech, Euro, TGOffshore, Destini WA, Fibon, MMode, Homeritz ( the last 3 counters with thanks to kcchong)
Of course I cannot be 100% correct and at times went in too early and sold off when it does not move incurring minimal losses or break even. Such cases are PTB, GSB, Abric, AWC, Penta, Furnweb.
Some went up soon after I have sold such as Menang, EITA, Hiap Teck.
I cannot be holding so many counters at one time though in some cases I will hold on longer (normal holding period not more than 2 weeks).
At the end of the day, If I can spot 7 out of 10 correct, I am alright, because the those losses are minimal as the prices have not gone up and these are profitable companies.
My recent entries are GreenYB, Orna, Priva and LeeSK.

# tsurukame - you are definitely right. How many ordinary players can make it in the market. As I mentioned before, for an ordinary player, do not expect to get rich from the market. I have been in the market for 30 over years and consider myself lucky to be the plus side after surviving a few market crashes. There are definitely more losers than winners in the market and the major causes, in my opinion are greed, fear, lacking in knowledge, being naive etc. Of course luck could be a factor.

# CT - I see that you will be doing X-rays on some stocks including MJPerak. Perhaps if you could remember, this was one of the stocks I highlighted to you when I spotted some abnormal movement (see below)
Stock / Spotted Price / Current Price / Up (Down)
PTB / 12 sen / 12 sen / Breakeven
MJ Perak / 46.0 / 56.5 / up 12.5 sen
OCK / 74.0 / 82.5 / up 8.5 sen

Captain TM932, CT - observe the following stocks were traded in an unusual movement / movement yesterday (looking at prices and volume). Again, they may just be a 1 day play.
- PTB
- MJ Perak
- OCK

# Market Overview - Despite the Dow closing at a record high yesterday, Asian stocks registered the longest weekly losing streak since June on tapering fear. Here in KLSE, the index has been hovering around the 1,800 level. The record high in the Dow and recent gains in major European markets have failed to lift up the sentiment here. As there is no adverse news to trigger any selling, we are seeing rotational play amongst the penny stocks which is conducive for speculative and short term play. Thus it is advisable to trade with caution. This is just my personal opinion.

bsngpg - agree if kcchong can come in with his views. The only concern, which I thinks he feels the same. would invite unnecessary remarks (cynical/sarcastic) from others as not all behave courteously or gentlemanly. Some gets personal.
