# CT - your charts are great. I cleared half my FLB at 95 sen (bought last Thursday at 81 sen). Can have a big meal today with single malt !

# Escape - once sold, move on. The market is always here for you. If you don't sell it doesn't move. So many times the price went limit up after I sold off a stock. Thus selling is the most difficult part in stock trading !

# lim - sorry didn't reply last night as I signed off early. As long as you do not use up every sen of your savings in the stock market, that's fine. As you grow older and have more savings, you will then have to do some financial planning like how to allocate your money into cash, equities (unit trusts), bonds and property etc.

Always take note that it is of utmost importance to have cash on standby. Very often when you need money and resort to selling your shares, it comes with a loss !

# Stockwatch - your comment " Today times have changed and the focus is on penny stocks.". You are quite right, at least in recent months. If you were to see my posting, all my fun trades (about 1 to 3 stocks) everyday are penny stocks, not more than RM 1. Just hope to make some drinking money. fatinvest, you are right ! I am quoting the phrase 不知者不罪 !
Glad that you have the experience in seeing how others fell from riches to poverty and it's all because of greed, if I may say. During the super bull in 1993, it's so easy to make money that everyone jumped into the bandwagon. Accountants, Engineers, General Managers gave up their jobs to become remisiers. I have a colleague (Senior Manager) who did the same and his commission could sometimes be 10K a day. But again no one is satisfied with what he has and he soon became a player when he saw his clients made so much each day. He did enjoyed the profits and together with this commission, he was able to get more than 100K a month. As usual his lifestyle changed - big meals, big spending, new car etc. But good times can never last. When the crash came, he lost everything back and more. If only he had focused on his job as a remisier and maybe played small, I reckon he would be very comfortable and probably can go for early retirement.

# mikekong55 - if you ask me< I cabbot give you a fair price for the counter as the Q3 earnings can only be a one-time incident. However based on kcchongnz.a analysis, this company is worth investing. In fact I have gone in and out once and now looking for another buying opportunity. Would probably wait for it to settle down. However if what Calvin says is true, there is a very high possibility of the price moving further. But a target of RM 15 would definitely be too far fetched.

bsnpng, no worries. I truly understand your kind intentions. If you were to read my postings, you will notice that
a) I have been in the market for 30 over years and played over 600 counters (probably 700 + if including those in the earlier years which I have no records)and still on the plus side (excluding dividends).
b) I have seen all in the stock market, survived a few crashes, experienced the Super Bull in 1993 where everyday there were a few counters going limit up.
c) In the earlier years my losses were more than gains but as time passed by I became wiser
d) I like to do fun trades (for trading and speculating) due to the "gambling" instinct in me. In fact I am rather conservative and thus have control in what I do.
e) For these fun trades, my transacted value is small and not more than 10K in one counter (mostly less than RM 1 counters)
f) On the other hand I do keep some counters for long term like Sime Darby, Riverview, Paramount, M Flour, Pavillion Reit, Mudajaya, and the recently added K Fima and J Tiasa
g)Even on fun trades I entered those with some fundamentals like Fibon, MMode, Homeritz, Instaco etc (around 10 to 20 lots)
h)I do not aim to make myself rich from these fun trades and would be more than contented to make some money for whisky and beer and better still a sumptuous dinner
i)) I don't know TA and whilst I am able to understand basic financial ratios, most of the time I rely on my own judgement (from years of experience) to assess a stock and will only if I think I stand a 80% probability chance of making. That's why I do not bother those who just shout buy buy, sell sell, going to fly, will limit up, will touch how much tomorrow etc. I always bear in mind to limit mt losses, if any, according to my affordability.
j) Of course these so called fun trades can only be done during a bull market and when there the bear comes I will be very cautious
k) As I mentioned, I respect and admire kcchongna's views but have so far have only entered K Fima though I did trade in Fibon and Homeritz (today)
l) in the event of a major correction, i will surely make some investments on those stock picks by kcchongnz who have provided me the knowledge on intrinsic values and margin of safety etc

All said, It is absolutely true that Bursa is the source for one to get rich. For very success story they may be nine other failures.

Once again, I thank you for your concern and am indeed happy for you to make huge capital gains (plus dividends) from LPI, Zhulian etc.

In stock investment there are several things to bear in mind (especially for newbies)
1) never listen to rumors - by the time it reaches you, the price would have already gone up
2) never completely trust the recommendations made by the so called experts - they have vested interests (direct or indirect). Do your own study and analysis. Suggest you equip yourself with some understanding of the stock market operations and some financial knowledge
3) if you think you have made enough from the counter, just sell (selling is the most difficult part) and move on. No one can sell at the highest. Do not wish and take pride that you have sold at the highest price. Think of the other party who bought from you. Let him have the chance to make money also from further price increase.
4) never fall in love with a stock (like otb mentioned above). There are more than a thousand counters in the KLSE
5) at times know how to cut loss, even if it's painful
6) etc etc etc......

# To all Tenaga C5 Holders :-

From The Malaysian Insider
Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has been ranked number one among "Electric Utilities in Asia" in the coveted Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings for 2013.
The national utility corporation also took 15th spot in Asia in terms of "Overall Performance" in the rankings, announced at the Platts Top 250 Asia Awards Dinner held in Singapore earlier this week.
The annual financial performance rankings started 12 years ago. Platts is a leading global commodity information provider and is based in New York, in the United States.
The top ranking is an improvement on its third spot in 2011, TNB said in a statement today.
Mirroring other elite Asian companies that moved up in the rankings, TNB's global ranking surged to the 66th position from 90th in 2011.
The statement said the Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings are based on assets, revenue, profits and return on investments for the previous fiscal year.
TNB's chief corporate officer, Datuk Roslan Rahman represented company president/chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Azman Mohd in receiving the award in the presence of Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.
"This award is dedicated to all our employees, wherever they are, for making this company a pride of the nation'" said Roslan. - Bernama, November 1, 2013.

fatinvest, in life we have to pay to become wiser and more knowledgeable in the stock market. My sincere advice is the newbies in i3 is not to get too much involved in the market but concentrate on their jobs for career advancement. I am worried they simply follow those who just shout buy buy buy, sell sell sell, target price is so much so much, going to fly, sell before it crashes, directors selling, the company is getting big contracts etc. They should go through the postings and see who are people with the genuine stuff !
