it is good to see director buying its own share or holding significant interest of share. As we know, directors are the one who knows the company the most. It strengtens my confidence when this scenario happen.

ROE
QL has achieved a consistent ROE for the past 10 years, averaging
around 23%. In FY 2010 we delivered an ROE of 23% on the back of
shareholder equity breaking the RM500 million mark. (see Exhibit 4)
On a comparative basis, QL is often ranked among Malaysia’s top
ROE performers. The annual Malaysian Business “MB 100” survey
studies the Top 100 listed companies on Bursa Malaysia by virtue
of their turnover. Since our listing on Bursa Malaysia 10 years ago,
we have been achieving high rankings in the “MB 100” in terms of
highest (Top 50) ROE. Between 2004-2009, our average ranking is
15. (see Exhibit 5)
Profit Growth
Profit growth is the product of two major factors: profit margin
growth and revenue growth. For the past 10 years we have
achieved revenue CAGR of 14% and PBT CAGR of 21%. This is due to
consistent margin improvements brought on by higher value–add
activities and operational efficiency.(see Exhibit 6)

Annual Shareholder Return
Through the years, QL’s share price has consistently outperformed
the market. During the bear markets, QL receded less than the
market. However, during bull years, except during 2007, QL delivered
returns higher than the market. (see Exhibit 2)
Cumulative Shareholder Return
QL’s share price has risen 552% in the 10 years it has been listed. On
a 10 year basis, cumulative returns on QL shares are significantly
higher compared to the KLCI. A RM10, 000 investment in QL shares
on its listing in 2000 would now be worth RM65,200, excluding
dividends. Whereas if you were to invest the same amount in the
KLCI, the total as of 31 March 2010 would be worth just RM13, 67

Hi ktsk88, literally i think oldtown is not a good enough comparison. I have to agree the rest. In investing, i believe we are also buying in the future of the company. I believe market is always efficient that, you can hardly find a good company trading in low valuation. Market will even factor in upcoming good news/bad news in the share price. So, if the company still can achieve good growth in future, its attracting.

@vin
If one compares Pwroot to other big cap consumer stock, its trading at relatively low P/E(current P/E at 18, Big cap like nestle & F&N trades around 27,28),which i deemed it as fully value. Of course it can trade at higher P/E if market wants it to. My take is, if u are confident and have faith on its future prospect, Why not? The company has good growth history, which if you factor the growth, the PEG is attractive. Foremost, you most be familiar with the company and have faith on it, provided u are a long term investor

For FY13 is almost a sure double digit growth. Congratulations for those who earn from it, but i think its suit for long term holding/
2013-07-04 21:56 | Report Abuse
how about long term holding? With the kickstart of gov linked services, can they consistently post double digit growth in year to come? with its defensive business nature, yoy increasing profit margin, tax exempted status, and super good cash flow, could it be any bumper dividend?
2013-07-04 21:42 | Report Abuse
as you foresee the growth on future, the forward P/E will be lower. which is not the case if you only focus on the PE now.
2013-07-04 16:24 | Report Abuse
Well, i don't know how you judge within what range of P/E is overpriced. However, its very subjective for me especially when it comes to different sector/industry.

first of all, i am not the one who urge you to read more, i am just quoting on what cmlooi said. Secondly, i totally agree with you but not all high P/E = overprice. As we know, good company always trade in high P/E and they worth it

You should read more about P/E ratio as written by Mark Minervini's in his book, "Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard" on page 44 - Most best growth stocks seldom trade at a low P/E ratio.
2013-07-04 15:46 | Report Abuse
i admit MYEG is trading at very high P/E now, but if one factor in its high growth(30+% CAGR for past 5 years), the value is just ok only with less margin of safetly. The share price stay steadily even KLCI and other regional market slump. Higher P/E means higher expectation. For its business nature and high growth prospect, it definitely deserve high P/E
2013-07-04 15:26 | Report Abuse
Well, i bring no others meaning but seriously for MYEG, its a shinning star.it has bright future.
