exactly, bro apolloang.
blatant pro bn stocks like george kent and mrcb will most likely in for some adjustment.
there with no exposure to iskandar or heavily involved with hsr will be the ones to look at and shine after being dropping out of the spotlight for so long. thats why i moving into them now.

i would beg to differ on ecrl, bro apolloang.
i think it would be good to link up the east coast to the more developed west coast for long term economic development.
but hsr is really a real total waste of money.
the economics doesnt justify building hsr, so thats why i dont see hsr-linked counters to be worth the punt.
on hindsights, looks like we r rite to be skeptical abt mrcb and george kent.

agree with u, bro apolloang.
good time to nibble some quality stocks.
i think banking stocks is abt to reach toppish except for ambank and rhb, so can look at quality construction stocks or those with developments in kl.
alrdy bot in ytlland and looking to buy in ytlc and guoco for the rite price.
which sector u looking at????

@holland king
i m pleasantly surprised as well since local market is alrdy pricing in a big win for bn while i was expecting most likely a small win just by looking at fgv.
thats why i figure that the expected post-election bull run not to be strong, so just sell off my political connected stocks and hold on to quality banking stocks plus property stocks.

as usual, stupid clown calvintaneng is talking abt tourist arrivals to justify his flawed analysis.
u think malaysia got so many tourist coming in every yr to use hsr????
if tour operator use coach to send 30 tourists from sgp to kl only costs at most rm500-600 inclusive of fuel costs one way.
u take hsr will cost at least rm200 pp one way and the cost will be rm6k, u want tour operators to pay the costs is it?????
just exposed ur stupidity again, stupid clown calvintaneng.

lol.......
thx bro apolloang
always stay on the safer side during political events and look for cheap pickings in the aftermaths. so best is to overweight banks.
some construction stocks like ytl is really looking attractive now, any povs to share?????

thx for refreshing the misdeeds of old horse and his cronies, @pakatanhancur.
i dont like bn but now, i also dont like ph. luckily, old horse's ppbm not in my constituency, or else, ph can 100% say undi rosak to my vote. now, there is 50% chance i m voting for ph candidate. i dont like his party, but i like his beliefs.

@bursalearner, how can check-and-balances not be a critical issue????
if there is no check-and-balances, corruption will flourish as usual biz and this will impact on the economy.
u dont forget the lack of check-and-balances during old horse's 22 yrs brought us to this stage.
he is the source of all the troubles and bugis is his creation as well.
just like how opposition talk abt reducing expenditure but where r they going to find jobs for the surplus civil servants and the list goes on.
2018-05-05 10:43 | Report Abuse
@contrarian,
old horse has no choice but to admit in order to win back support.
if this old horse is truly remorse, he would have apologized immediately when he joined the opposition pact, but he did not. this just shows his insincerity and from his party name of ppbm, he is pretty much unchanged.
i believe the true reason old horse is running is for his own selfish benefits, not of the country.
if he is serious abt atoning, he shld only give moral support, not getting into the fray.
many grass-root opposition party members and supporters were unhappy when his party joined the opposition pact.
and as election draws closer, this unhappiness is more glaring by the less than enthusiastic support shown by the members and supporters.

@contrarian,
the 92 yo old horse that led us to the current situation.
i find it disgusting when he mentioned that he did not put in place the check-and-balance during his time in office.
it was him who destroyed the check-and-balance in 1988 when he removed the lord president and 4 other supreme court judges.
by working with the old horse, the opposition has lost its political credibility and ideology in the eyes of many intellectuals.

@all toh,
u must understand that the average mentality of a malaysian voter has no real understanding abt the concept of clean government nor check-and-balances, especially in the rural areas.
so @hafizam will most like be wasting his time, though i will applaud his effort and shake his hand.
2018-05-05 10:03 | Report Abuse
@hafizam
this just shows the political maturity of the average malaysian, both urban and rural.
there r a few good souls in the opposition like rafizi and tian chua, but unfortunately, they r running on platform of political concepts rather than just solely focusing on bread-and-butter issues and working with an old horse who caused most of the present day problems is not a very good move either.
u ask a voter in rural sabah/sarawak or even peninsular malaysia, he/she doesnt even know the what is 1mdb, let alone the impact of this issue on his/her well-being.

exactly, @holland king.
the cost for ecrl is ridiculous but if the new govt can nego it down, it will be a catalyst for economic development for the east coast.
