@flyinghigh,
since u r so confident of ur call on jcy, shall we have a bet???
i take the side that jcy cannot rise above 80sen in the next 6mths while u on the opposite.
this is healthier instead of u calling others mad dogs when they disagree with u.
2017-09-15 17:48 | Report Abuse
@flyinghigh,
if u r talking abt shameless, u r the shameless one.
instead of rebutting my pov, u only know how to name call and play victim by reporting my comments as abuse, even though i never call u mad dog or shameless.
i can also play this game as well since u started it.

@bull,
its quite challenging to see how good a trader one can be while punting on goreng counters. its good training.
of cos, one dont bet the house on it.
i lost abit in one or 2 but gained big in the rest, so its an effective way to train up my instincts and skills.

@flyinghigh,
why shld i be ashamed of myself???
if i sound like an old lady, then i must be one very rational old lady talking then.
compared to u, who isnt able to give me a proper counter argument as to why jcy is a punt and only resort to calling opposing povs mad dogs, so who is more sensible and rational????
jcy didnt even go up yesterday, so insignificant after coming all the way down from 0.75 of mid yr level.
till now, u still havnt given us an argument as to why u think jcy is worth a punt besides the fact that it is cheap and give a dividend.
any other positive factor u can give????

@bull,
lol
sometimes goreng counters like gnb/bioosmo etc r kinda of fun to play.
went in cheap and double/triple up b4 coming out.
but of cos, dont bet the full house on them.

@bull,
u r one brave man to further add on.
i just keep to one holding now, not adding on.
2017-09-15 12:16 | Report Abuse
@curious2,
i think u have mistaken me.
i have never promoted any counters.
for iwc, i bot in @ 80sen at end of yr b4, getting partly out when it first touched rm2.4 b4 fully out again @ rm2.4 when it fell badly.
i dont have a position in iwc at all now.
i believe only die hard promoters r still promoting iwc.

@bull,
i thot u r alrdy heavily into steel???
still adding on????

of cos @yippie,
u been ard the market much longer than me, so most likely u have make more than me.
attacking others personally is never my style.
i present my arguments or call into question an argument put forward by others as in all my postings.
of cos, when povs r being questioned, there r some like tun @calvintaneng and @flyinghigh, who r not very acceptable of other povs. instead of discussing out the issues, decide to go into calling opposing povs as mad dogs.
but i believe ppl can think for themselves on which povs make more sense. i m only a trade/investor, not cmy or peter lim, so how to move the market????
i take it as a compliment when some who cannot present a coherent pov disintegrate into calling others mad dogs, it just validates my pov.
for me, i like others questioning my povs so that i can see things even clearer and be better able to trade/invest.

@hng33,
i wouldnt look at this stock from a cpo angle becos ur biodiesel story is old story which was spinned by gs way back in 2005/6. the simple reason for biodiesel to be unable to take off now is simply that crude oil is too cheap for any blending with cpo and secondly, becos of the refined po specifications. thus politicians can talk to skyhigh, but nothing will happen as seen back in 2008-10
i m looking at it from a timber angle but still evaluating. if it is cheap enough, i might punt becos of this angle.

@king36,
thx for the compliment.
just sharing my outlook on a particular share or industry.
i try not to get emotionally attached to any share or industry.

@flyinghigh,
i suppose this is the best compliment you have given to anyone.
i dont think i m that influential like cmy to move a stock.

@hng33,
i have a very simple question to ask u.
when crude oil is at usd100+/bbl, biodiesel is hardly making any impact or profitability.
so with crude oil at the current usd50/bbl, do u think biodiesel will be commercially viable and profitable???

tun @calvintaneng has bet with me that jcy can go above 70sen within a yr.
u can use this as the first record.

@kelvin61,
did i make u sad by bringing up ur big losses in parkson???
i understand u r still adding on despite it dropping further from 75sen to 53sen from ur posting in parkson.
2017-09-14 23:29 | Report Abuse
@juniorR,
until now, u still keep on harping the accounting numbers provided by parkson and how cheap it is.
so far, u r still unable to rebut the simple fact that alibaba/wanda/aeon/carrfour r far ahead. i dont need any accounting numbers or theoretical valuation to tell me that they r a better buy.
let me ask u a simple question, if u r so confident of parkson, r u willing to stake all ur money into this stock???
mind u, this stock came down from rm10/share to its current 0.53/share within 10 yrs.
many an investors lost their life savings when they bot into parkson china story in 2008.

always looking forward, but if i m to play with william's stocks, i would be very careful, even more careful than in punting with hong leong's stocks.

of cos not trying to stop a bull from running.
but it always pay to be careful when one is playing with such a banker like william.
though not bitten, i m always cautious when dealing with stocks of particular bankers behind.
i would rather sleep easy and earn less than having to worry abt a stock possibly losing money plus being delisted next day.

@bull,
i wouldnt say i hate william, just dont like the way he runs the biz after i met him and his then management in 2008.
the right word would be they overpromised and under-delivered.

that is the question.

i want the bet to be on whether parkson can hit rm1/share in 1 yr's time, not whether it makes profit or not.

@bull,
i hope u didnt lose ur underwear by buying parkson share @ rm10/share in 2008.
2017-09-14 14:51 | Report Abuse
@warren,
judging from the parkson info u r giving me, i can tell u r not at all familiar with china retail landscape.
major competition in china retail is now alibaba/wanda/kerry/aeon/carrfour and many more. the high-end brands like boss/miumiu/coach etc have their own specialty outlest in china now, parkson china no longer carry any exclusive high-end brands. sephora is basically having a tight market grip on high-end cosmetics, so where does this leave parkson in this competitive market???
read up more on current china retail news/trends and dont depend on old stories spinned by parkson.
2017-09-14 14:19 | Report Abuse
@warren,
i only ask a simple question of whether parkson can survive in the competitive retail market, but u rnt able to give me a simple yes or no. so u urself has doubts on the turnaround of parkson as well.
2017-09-14 14:16 | Report Abuse
but it is very interesting to see how some investors still believe in parkson's china story after so many yrs and despite parkson dropping from rm10 to the current 0.53sen within the past 10 yrs.
a very good study into investor's psychology.
2017-09-14 14:12 | Report Abuse
parkson coming down from 75 sen to the current 53 sen in 6mths and looking at the competitive retail market landscape, do u think parkson will stand a chance??? not to say china, but even malaysia????
one does not buy stocks just becos it is cheap, one buys becos of the potential for gains.
2017-09-14 14:10 | Report Abuse
nope, just wanted to do a comparison of the past 1 month performance at first.
but some not happy, particularly @kelvin61, who lost big money in parkson, coming in to say i lost money on lion group's shares when i didnt even buy any. thus i reminded him of the ugly record of anyone, perhaps even himself and @bullandrunning, of buying parkson at the high price. so maybe a part of their losses in parkson been covered by the gains in lion ind, assuming they didnt buy at the high of lion ind a few yrs ago.
2017-09-14 13:59 | Report Abuse
just wanting to compare the volatile performance of lion ind in the past 1 month against the steady performance of southern steel.
but of cos @kelvin61 is unhappy when i bring up the big loser called parkson and need i remind u that there is a recently delisted steel company called megasteel in lion group.

@warrenbuffet
whats wrong with highlighting the fact that parkson went from rm10/share to the current 0.53sen/share in 10 yrs time???
that is an even uglier record of lion group.

@kelvin61,
do i need to remind u that i didnt buy parkson share at all, unlike u.
i believe u lost big in parkson since buying at rm10/share in 2008 and still holding now at 0.53
and when i mentioned me making 100% return on elsoft vs u losing 30% in abt 6mths time, u r unhappy when i stated the truth.
@bullandrunning,
dont tell me u also lost big in parkson as well???

true, but one must have strong heart to play with william. i dont have such a strong heart.

@godhand,
thx for the correction.
but then again, if we do a starting month buy-in for lion ind, it was at 1.2 in early aug, so its very volatile.
unless one has a strong heart to buy in at 1.01, he/she will win.

but southern steel has stronger backer who can do offtake via inter-related transactions.
thats why i bot into southern instead of others.

as long as his commission is low enough, he can do so.

risk/reward??? up to individual.
