In the matter of the Arbitration between SEA Srl v. Bumi Armada Caspian LLC

We refer to our announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 26 May 2015, in relation to the Notice of Arbitration (“Notice of Arbitration”) filed by SEA Srl (“SEA”) against our wholly owned subsidiary, Bumi Armada Caspian LLC (“BAC”). In the Notice of Arbitration, SEA had claimed from BAC, approximately EUR28.5 million (equivalent to approximately RM127 million at the current exchange rate) under a service contract dated 28 September 2012, for post trenching and backfilling services for the Filanovsky Field Development Project in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea (“Service Contract”).

The Company wishes to announce that BAC has today, signed a Settlement Agreement with SEA, pursuant to which BAC has agreed to pay SEA the settlement sum of EUR3.2 million (equivalent to approximately RM14 million at the current exchange rate), as full and final settlement against all claims by SEA under the Service Contract (“Settlement”). As part of the Settlement, the arbitration proceedings will be discontinued.

The Settlement is not expected to have a material financial effect on the Bumi Armada Berhad Group.

This announcement is dated 13 August 2015.
