I too believe nothing could stop the water restructuring in Selangor... Pricing though, not so sure. Doubt new MB dare to offer higher price than Khalid, it would be a slap onto PR face... Lower, if not by much, maybe the best for all. Too low, unless a federal takeover, a long fight in court would be expected, further dampening people faith in PR... Guess same offer or slightly lower offer be in place soon...

guess instead of waiting for 1.15, will start selling if it were to hit 1.01 again, sigh!

Sometimes, to think of it from Khalid's perspective, while there is a basis for him to resign to let Anwar becomes MB, its a bit hard to swallow just to let Anwar's wife become MB. Its not a company, its a party. But I guess this is how we have been used to in Malaysia...

(1) try to keep debt/asset < 0.5, preferably 0.4. Margin call usually is when debt/asset > 0.6
(2) make sure not to use more than 90% of margin amount
(3) buy only shares that would distribute dividends, it helps with interest charges
(4) survey the market, some brokers would offer BLR - 1.8% to BLR - 2.0%, don't use margin account that charges more than 6%; always request waiver for rollover fee, its 1% of used margin quarterly
(5) top up when you have spare cash to reduce the risk

Puncak is definitely a better choice. Only concern is if big boss willing to share cash?

Puncak owns the water distribution system while owning some treatment capacity, making it like tenaga of selangor water, while splash owning only treatment capacity, which means its the ipp of selangor water. Which should be more valuable?

I guess I should add this: Though, I can't deny the value of the lands TA hold or the value of the brokerage arm. Should TA really sell its brokerage arm and develop its land surrounding KLCC, it may have a value of more than 1.20 per share. However, given TA boss's selfishness which disregards shareholders interest and big mouth lies, its hard to trust whatever he/she had said. You can cry wolves so many times, and I guess they are PROUD of crying wolves so long its in their best interests...

Don't know much about counters u have mentioned, but TA rises lately because of 1. Brokerage business to be sold 2. Property development surrounding klcc. These 2 are nothing new, been goreng many times but never materialized. I still own some TA sure would like to see them happen. Anyway, buy as you see feed, I merely expressed my viewpoint. SHQuah, I didn't say I am unhappy with TA, just pointing out the risk of chasing high and the differences between small fishes like me and big sharks like TA's Tiah.
And, I don't have to sell just so you can buy, as of now, you can buy 264k at 1.03 and 563k at 1.04 already...

If I were not wrong, just last year, TA hits multi-year low of 0.495, within less than 2 years, it has risen to 1.03. TA boss is not famous for being generous towards shareholders, remember how he got jailed...
I don't mind keeping some of my profits from TA to hope for higher return, but definitely not buying more when knowing that its once as low as 0.495.

My concern is MNRB's transparency. Also, I bought this share merely for its divdend, and now I have to consider if to sell, given dividend inconsistency.

It actually depends on hired staff and the ability/willingness of big boss to monitor the department (I mean the investor relation.) Unfortunately, the way I see it, MNRB doesn't look like a very responsive company. It didn't even attempt to explain how the arrive at 16.5% dividend. Sigh!

To me, TA is not really worthy collection after 1. It may be to the owner or someone looking to be major shareholders, but not small fishes like us. I gradually sold off at .805 and 1.01, keeping roughly 30% to see if major event will unfold in near future. Tambah? Definitely not

MNRB dividend policy is actually between 40% to 75% of net profit, translating into 0.29 to 0.54 per share. I have emailed my concern to MNRB investor relation, hopefully will get a reply by tomorrow...
