Glove usage are increasing every year and any overstock in year 2021 will all be fully utilised in year 2022. In additions all the glove big player are reducing their production and soon there will be shortage in glove supply and the the ASP will increase follow by increase in production.
Today you dont buy and tomorrow you need to pay higher price to own a glove shares.

Assuming 1.2 billion in USD currency. From June qtr to Sep qty, the USD already appreciated 5%. No need to do anything also RM 60 million profit. Then US interest is around 3%. Each qtr easily another RM 30 Mil interest. Total RM 90 milllion profit. No wonder the Company give 3 sen dividend.

Many people dont understand the meaning"退税“ in china. This is the waiver of their VAT for goods that export out. Is not a goverment rebate. In china you need to buy“ 发 票” and when your customers purchase from you, you issue them this VAT invoice. The mechanism is similar with GST. No such thing as Government subsidy for export.

There are many types of Gloves. China is good for making non medical gloves such as gloves for gardening, preparing food and other which is non medical type. I would appreciate if anyone here could list down all the glove manufacturer in China that produced certified medical gloves that can export to Europe, US and Australia. Riverstone is selling at Sing 78 cents which equivalents to RM 2.45 based on exchnage rate of S=RM 3.15. If TG selling at RM 1.05, is this a huge discount. This huge discount is due to a major funds selling down their shares.

US cannot rely on china as this will make their country vulnerable to china threat in the future if action is not taken now. Supermax make the right decision to start the manufacturing plant there and will benefit great from US consumption and futute research and development .

Us tax is higher compare to Malaysia. Remittance from country with high tax will not subject to tax again. Only country with low tax such as HK and Singapore or tax haven country will subject to Malaysia tax if remitted back to Malaysia.

Smax results may badly affected in next two quarters due to the US banned. Us customers usually place 3 to six months order in advance. Unless the ban is lifted end of december, then maybe 3rd QTR will also be affected.
Look at TG results you can probably predict overall how long the ban effect on the order.
Although us ban for TG is uplifted in September, the order don't come immediately. Oct and November sales still has the effect of us ban.
However if you are holding for more than one year, current price is still a good buy. If you can buy lower, then is a bonus.

Today MM and anti glove punters are on leave. So glove counters will be green today. Unless they cancel their leave and start operations again.

Now only frontliner in China wearing gloves.maybe later you can see all the people will wear a glove in their daily life due to hygiene purposes and to prevent infections. Let's observe what is happening for another month. The usage and demand for gloves will increase.

You are absolutely right. I just checked with my china supplier and they told me that all the frontliner are naked when performing swab test on the patient .
This news will make you happy and tomorrow all glove shares will limit down.
Hope you have short position and will benefit from the limit down tomorrow.

Another information I would like to share here is currently the cases in China are rising and most province is require to do mass testing . China current policy is zero COVID policy and although each province has cases of less than 100,however all the population are require to go for testing .
Assess yourself whether this info is useful to arrive in your decision to invest in glove industry.

@Monetary. Maybe you have miss out the utilisation rate of only 55% in the QTR just announced. Cost of production will be much higher due to low utilisation rate.
Currently they are operating at 80% capacity. I am not good at maths. Maybe you need to calculate again the profit based on 80% utilisation rate . Your calculation is based on utilisation rate and may not be correct and distorted.
Correct me if I am wrong.

@Charles T. Knowing the fact that TG goods are banned by US until end of sep. The factory produce the gloves in billions every month. Therefore TG has no choice and need to sell at lower ASP to clear the goods produced.
The coming QTR will reflect the actual operating environment. The banned is also a blessing for TG as they have found a new market in Africa countries as evidenced by the 47% in sales to the African continent.

No one can predict the lock down and the ban by us . Even the management with many years of experience in glove manufacturing unable to predict there will be a u turn by our government to imposed lock down. Likewise for the dropped in sales due to us ban and the severe consequences.
Now all these unfavourable conditions are no longer apply and based on current circumstances, I will predict TG worse is over and profitability will be on the uptrend.
TG has a policy to distribute 50% of their profit to shareholders and anyone buying now will start to enjoy the good dividend every QTR.
The number of shares short also reduced to half from 4 million to 2 million yesterday. If the future for TG is bleak, there is no reason the fund reduce the no of shares short.
In additions they are planning to be listed in HK too. If the results are getting worse from this QTR,do you think the TG management will go ahead with the listing in HK .
I am optimistic on the glove industry because of the business and the management.
To me buying in glove industry just like buying a piece of land. Every dollar increase will have a great impact on the profitability of the company as this is the volume business and need a good management and economic of scale to be profitable and sustain the business.
To me this is good time to accumulate. No one will know when is the lowest. As long as the investor think is value for money,then is worth to buy. In share investing,you are lucky if you can sell at the highest and buy at the lowest.
For me I don't have this luck. I don't buy at the lowest,but eventually I will able to sell with good profit.
I didn't buy dnex at 22 cents. I bought at 66 cents to 72 cents. But I already manage to cash out at 80 cents to 88 cents.
I don't trade in shares daily. I buy shares for medium to long term.
With the current share price,there is high probability the management will do GO If we do not average down,then if the GO really take place at RM 2.50, then those purchase above RM 2.50 will lost in their investment.

For the quarter ended November,the utilisation rate is 55%.Despite the low utilisation rate,the TG still managed to book EPS of 2 cents. All overstock carry forward from 2020 order has fully cleared at end of 2021.
TG should report increase profit in the coming quarter. If my prediction is true,then there will be SBB beginning of January 2022.
If no SBB in January 2022,then probably TG profit is still flat.
One thing need to take note that supermax short position in declining trend. This is the indication the funds are covering the short position despite all the bad news on glove industry such as oversupply ,reducing ASP and others. If the glove industry is such gloomy,why are they buying back to cover the short position instead of increasing the short position as the price will drop to 65 cents .

I am waiting for comfort results also as a guidance.

Beautiful and wonderful results .Let all the new players in China and other countries quit the industry. Tg despite the significant drop 8n asp still can make 2 cents and give 1 cents dividend. Knowing very well the attitude of china businessman ,they will quit making glove just like what happen for mask in 2020. Keep the asp at current level for another QTR or lower is good enough to make all the new player quit.
The glove investor meanwhile can collect at lower price.

If the future is do bleak,why are the funds reducing the short position instead on increase it? The funds know all the bad news will be over soon and glove companies will spike up in the coming months. Don't be suprise they fund will start buying after covering their short position. With 3 billion cash , put FD with 1% interest also makes 30 million. If put in government bonds at least have a returns of 4%to 5%. So additional 120m to 150m profit annually added to net profit.

SBB must be at right timing. After announcement of ban uplifted then SBB. Buy now to get Chinese New year angpow.

Don't ban RSS. Good to have RSS so that more Lelong sales.

If expectation towards the company getting from bad to worse,then the RSS shares should increase instead of reducing. The funds has bought back 50 million shares compare with 80 million.
While the fund profit from shorting,investors believe in the company fundamentals should queitly collect the shares. Don't complain the fund operations in shorting the shares. We should thank the fund shorting to enable us to invest in a company with RM 3 billion cash and the cash keep increasing every quarter.
We have to accept the fact that the asp need to be go lower for two quarter in order to prevent others from joining the glove industry and also to kill off the new players in the industry.
All investors are paid good dividend while waiting for price increase.
