As I frequent airasia flyer, more than 10 flights in the last 6 months, this article doesn't seem right. Customer has a right to choose. If you are unhappy with the prices. fly something cheaper! Nobody is forcing you to fly airasia. There is always MAS. On the only time I flew MAS, it was two hours delayed. Most of the airasia flights were on time. I have noted that airport congestion more often than not would cause a departure delay of up to half an hour whilst waiting on the tarmac.

So which analysts to believe? Neither. That's why buffett said concentrate on the fundamentals of the company. What investors could do, is to taper their own intensity of buying! You can always keep cash handy in banks in case new opportunity comes along at a 3% yield too without the capital gain.

he makes sense because the breakout he mentioned do have a lingering effect. Where would all the printed money of QE3 goes to, is basically a question it will lead to. Imagine a recovered America, Europe and East Asia

so easy to parry, this wannabe world economist! LOL
whilst i have no doubt the KLSE index is high, are you sure the similarities are there that triggered the Asian crisis? As far as i can remember, the biggest trigger is withdrawal of credit and flight of capital by rogue speculators. Same bubble? BsB?

i have read what a lot said about the star getting thinner as time goes by, which is true by observation. indeed that is not the way. it is always about up-to-date content that makes it sell. if WCW and gang cannot get that, i suggest Jeff Bezos come in! either that or Linda Ngiam! hehehe
also take out Tony Fernandes. no economic value! LOL

WCW will do well if he keeps this in mind :
We do not believe that success will come from cutting either the news content or frequency of publication. Indeed, skimpy news coverage will almost certainly lead to skimpy readership. And the less-than-daily publication that is now being tried in some large towns or cities – while it may improve profits in the short term – seems certain to diminish the papers’ relevance over time. Our goal is to keep our papers loaded with content of interest to our readers and to be paid appropriately by those who find us useful, whether the product they view is in their hands or on the Internet. - Buffett
2013-11-08 12:22 | Report Abuse
ok lah, i guess he is out of ammunition already. now talking about normal boom & burst!
but these paragraphs by Buffett is interesting though:
American business will do fine over time. And stocks will do well just as certainly, since their fate is tied to business performance. Periodic setbacks will occur, yes, but investors and managers are in a game that is heavily stacked in their favor. (The Dow Jones Industrials advanced from 66 to 11,497 in the 20th Century, a staggering 17,320% increase that materialized despite four costly wars, a Great Depression and many recessions. And don’t forget that shareholders received substantial dividends throughout the century as well.)
Since the basic game is so favorable, Charlie and I believe it’s a terrible mistake to try to dance in and out of it based upon the turn of tarot cards, the predictions of “experts,” or the ebb and flow of business activity. The risks of being out of the game are huge compared to the risks of being in it.

Peter, TF's prediction vis-a-vis to analysts' expectation so far not impressive. but his hands-on management is superb. the current change in management shows he acknowledged the competition from MAS, who is out to get AA since their fall out!
heavy work for Kamarudin to patch things up with govt, but with their brand name and cost effective operations, i think there is little to stop this juggernaut IMO. This is because AA doesn't survive on Malaysian business only!
