@hng33 I suggest not to spend all your bullets at once. 1-3% difference is nothing compared to long term. Try waiting for <RM1.20

auntynewbie, don't be bothered about tns. He has been calling for a drop almost everyday since months ago, despite multiple waves of rebounds. I believe he is collecting.

For shareholders with long term horizon, price pressure provides a chance to top up with more capital. Will queue for 1.15-1.20.

@icon123 based on multiple directors' (family and non-family) buying personally in large amount (not company buyback) in Feb 2016 at 1.16-1.25, results likely to be good. Good luck.

@icon123 @xdar based on multiple directors' (family and non-family) buying personally in large amount (not company buyback) last month at 1.16-1.25, I doubt upcoming EPS will be weak.

hng33, at what price would you consider reentering?
2016-03-01 14:52 | Report Abuse
Looking at the directors buying back in mid February, there is convincing reason to think that business is good. Firstly, it is not a small amount acquired. Secondly, it is not only one director, it is a few, which come from both family and non-family members. I will continue to top up if it drops to RM1.20 and below. Good luck to all.

You guys are tracking the day to day price and complaining it's too slow? HAHA. To remind you, a quote by Buffett - “No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant.”

Fundamentals unchanged.
No good reason for massive selling.
Collected more at 1.16-1.21.

@sign, doesn't have to be next week, it can go down lower, good opportunity to pick up more. They only have to ensure they meet consensus profits. Happily earning decent dividends for now, while awaiting its rebound.

@duitKWSPkita
1. Your fair value is based on what PE, what net profit, and what year?
2. There is no announcement on any tycoon sold off. In fact, according to most recent announcement, major shareholder and senior management were buying at a price higher than current price.
3. Vietnam is only a minority owned company, and has insignificant impact on the P&L.
Please try again, with more solid 'facts'.

@cutlost, business still good, why cut? because 10% drop?
2016-02-12 16:04 | Report Abuse
As long as the numbers make sense. If you're calling for a sell, provide some fundamental numbers to back it up.

Ironic that you guys are pressing for a sell, but do not give a TP, and factual reasoning.

kaki_sailang, everything needs a logical basis. If any business is doing well and growing, at what PE and dividend yield is reasonable for entry?
2016-02-12 15:24 | Report Abuse
youlee, because we don't know when it will be stable, by then it could be too late. just measure the fair price based on reasonable business assumptions and peer ratings, and if there is room for capital gains in sync with your holding period, just buy in. but of course, hold cash and average down slowly, maybe top up with each 10% drop.
2016-02-12 13:24 | Report Abuse
Assuming business continues to grow, and momentarily forgo the noise in share price fluctuation, at RM1.16 entry price, we get a minimum of 3.8% dividend yield for FY16. This is already assuming full warrants conversion before 2019, which realistically does not happen so soon. If about half of the warrants are converted by this year, which is still exaggerated, we are getting 5.3% dividend yield in FY16, and P/E <10x. Still very decent by any standard.

bigheadsheng, then it is reasonable to remove forex gain from Q1 growth rate (reduces from 70% to 25%), and apply that to Q2 forecasted growth. I am getting about RM23m forecasted Q2 profit, far from your RM3xm.
2016-02-12 11:58 | Report Abuse
bigheadsheng, Q1 grow 70% because of sudden decline in MYR, giving RM16m extra forex gain. Now MYR stable for many months, I do not expect much exchange gain. If we strip off forex gain, Q1 growth is 25% only. Take the same growth rate, 2015-Q2 * 1.25 = RM23m for 2016-Q2. Your 3x,xxx is too ambitious.

kaki_sailang, can you explain how a growing company like VS with increasing business and profits might enter PN17, unless they go into losses?
2016-02-12 10:51 | Report Abuse
kaki_sailang, if business is good, profit increasing, and have dividend track record, no problem to hold if already invested. because what comes down will go up.
2016-02-12 10:50 | Report Abuse
bidheadsheng, your RM1.80 target and PE of 12 (and based on current outstanding shares, not adjusted for warrants conversion) is about RM175m full year profit, which is more than the consensus forecasts.
2016-02-12 10:44 | Report Abuse
bigheadsheng so you're forecasting VS to make RM175m profit?

I only know of one fool who blows his trumpet on his so called 'price prediction', not realizing that the whole market is down. That is tns. The funny ways of human biases, I chuckle.

@youlee, if you have earned a lot from low entry cost, why not? That is a good strategy, since market is volatile.
2016-01-18 16:19 | Report Abuse
@youlee, I am neutral here and open to your viewpoints. You are claiming it is overpriced. But overpriced or not can only be determined by comparison to a relevant stock/sector average. What is your comparison?
2016-01-18 16:15 | Report Abuse
There's no need for sympathy.
A person can be a bull or bear, just like oil price, everyone has their own valid point.
What matters more is if they had good logic or justifications to support their points.
Seems like i3 is getting worse in quality with no mods around and we are flooded with shit.
2016-01-18 16:06 | Report Abuse
@youlee, when you say something is overpriced, you need to give a comparison. So, VS is overpriced compared to which company? Please give a good comparison on another company of the same/similar business that people can buy to adjust their portfolio.
2016-01-18 15:59 | Report Abuse
Now we can all see tns's modus operandi. There is zero fact, zero justification. Even if you wanted to caution others, please use some facts and brain.
2016-01-18 15:50 | Report Abuse
@Doitanyway, plenty of people like that in i3. I suggest you don't waste time replying to them, and focus on making money. In the end the long term earnings growth will determine your % capital growth, not the perception of people on i3.

2016-01-18 15:34 | Report Abuse
@thunderbird obviously you are deluded/biased here. So the person who queued at 0.93 today and successfully collected was not daydreaming and was a great forecaster? Don't be biased, everyone has their own TP to decide to add more or not, capital allocation.
