Look at how YTL did for Lot 10, Starhill & JW Marriott. Bought at RM323m in 1998, few years later (2005) setup a REIT to pocket cash RM523.4m & yet control 51% on the REIT.

8月份汽车增长是社会消费品零售总额增长的重要拉动因素。汽车类销售增长13.1%，比上个月加快3.9个百分点。8月份汽车销售为什么会加快，有两个原因。一是从基本面来看，中国目前处在消费结构升级的关键时期，住类和行类的商品这几年一直保持较快增长。中国近年来汽车每年销售量超过2000万辆，但总体来讲，中国汽车的消费还是有很大空间。根据住户调查数据，中国现在汽车家庭拥有量每百户将近34辆左右，也就是1/3的家庭有车。我看了一些数据，像美国现在汽车拥有量每百户220辆左右，一家2辆车多一点，欧洲的发达国家，包括日本和韩国等国家，每百户汽车拥有量将近150辆，两家三辆车多一点。从中国角度来讲，尽管这几年汽车发展比较快，但刚性需求市场还很大，在解决了温饱以后，大家追求发展型和享受型的消费。这与中国居民消费结构升级有关，而且潜力很大。

8月份汽车销售提速跟政策刺激也有一定的关系。大家知道，中国去年年底出台了一个政策，对1.6升及以下小排量汽车有优惠补贴政策，这个政策按照计划未来几个月到期，到期之前一部分消费潜力提前释放，这可能有一定的影响。主要是这两方面的原因。谢谢你！

WealthWizard is really great sifu, his articles told all these stories.

The Edge Weekly said:

The RM1.13 billion proceeds will be used to pare down borrowings and pay dividends. Interestingly, Ekovest had RM2.18 billion in borrowings as at 30 June 2016. However, RM1.74 billion is for the Islamic medium-term notes tied to Ekovest.

Hence, Ekovest's non-highway borrowings are only RM437.4 million. In constrast, the group has RM189.7 million in cash. Hence, Ekovest should have plenty of cash left over from the RM1.13 billion proceeds to pay dividends.

The Edge Weekly is not so smart, I think, it talks the same old thing that told by Chonghai.

xuewen, my calculation is very crude.
1). EKOVEST would be able to pocket around 1.1 billion from EPF.
2). This 1.1 billion can be used to offset close to 300 million of debt.
3). Essentially EKOVEST will have close to 800 million net cash WITHOUT CONSIDERING BOTH THE ASSET AND DEBT OF KESTURI WHICH EKOVEST STILL OWNS 60%.

Not correct in accounting terms. I assume KESTURI should be able to at least self sustain from now on or else EPF will not purchase a 40% stake.
This 800 million will be important to EKOVEST because DUKE III(SPE) is not under KESTURI.
