Since you're so confident crude oil will surge to USD100 soon, I suggest you buy up Hibiscus as much as you can today.

China only contribute 2% to Topglove total sales.
Very small, no impact from trade war.

If Aspion directors are providing profit guarantee, why the need to worry?
Unless, they are frauds. But according to the news, they are willing to defend themselves and will prove Topglove wrong.
SO I guess the we can take their word for it since the S&P have the profit guarantee clause in it.

Unlikely for crude oil to exceed USD100 per barrel anytime soon.
Saudi Arabia & Russia is ready to pump additional 2mil-3 mil per barrel into the market which would bring crude oil closer toward USD60 instead.

Yup. Misleading. Initially, I alsothought the share price had dropped to RM1.20.
Anyway, everyone has it's own way or different perspective.

E&P segment alone worth A$2.7 bil?
For current Quarter revenue by segment for SAPRNG:
E&C 665,621 ('000)
Drilling 183,387('000)
E&P 209,772 ('000)
So SAPRNG should be worth more than RM0.61?

apolloang , calculate as follows:
His average is RM1.40. He had sold half of his shares at RM1.60, gaining RM0.20.
Taking the gain into account, he is saying RM1.40-RM0.20=RM1.20
The share price had never reach RM1.20.
His own way of calculation.

Gkent MRT2 encountering issues
The relationship between China Communications Construstion Co Ltd and its JV partner GKent is understood to be fraying at the seams because of issues. The two companies have a JV called CCCC-GKent JV on a 51:49 basis.
The cause of the problems is understood to be the RM1 billion systems work package for the Sungai-Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya MRT2, which the two companies had bagged in Aug 2016.
MRT Corp officials said they are watching them closely.
Without any replies from GKent, it is difficult to gauge how issues concerning the contract may impact the company or its RM5.38 billion order book.
Meanwhile CCCC has been-GKent JV comes on the back of the Malaysian government suspending work on the RM81 billion ECRL.
It is also worth nothing that CCCC in partnership with CCCC Sdn Bhd, might have been one of two companies shortlisted by the BN government for the construction of the RM45 billion MRT3.
GKent’s chairman Tan Sri Tan Kay Hock, who controls 42.21% stake onf GKent is lcose associate to Najib. GKent’s success in recent years was the result of strong political connections.
Its fortunes changed when from dealing in water meters and diversified into rail construction, largely JV Ampang LRT project, LRT3 and other lucrative large rail jobs.
However since the BN government was toppled, things have taken a turn for the worst at GKent and the market has reacted to the uncertainty surrounding the company.
Till 06 July 2018, the company had shed 70% since GE14. The sell down in GKent can be attributed to its weak earnings prospects. With its future projects more or less gone, most market watchers were banking on CCCC-GKEnt JV’s MRT2 contract to maintain its earnings. Now (July 2018) even that seems to be in trouble.
While its outlook appears dim, GKent had cash and bank balances of RM396.74 million as at April 2018 while its short term borrowings stood at RM51.01 million and RM2.21 million. Retained earnings amounted to RM257.95 million.

Agree with you.
Seems not likely that Topglove management does not know it.
Unless they are conning the investors.
If this looks like another case of TRANSMILE, I think this is the end of this counter.

Based on the SSM, last quarter result only RM7 mil.
Multiple that with 4 Q is RM28 mil.
Topglove valued it at 17 times PE = RM476 mil.
Aspion should not be paid anything more than RM500mil.

There's many counters to invest in.
If not for MYEG boss to invest in, I don't think this stock worth to look at.
It's speculative, and hoping MYEG boss will do bring more value to the company.
To be honest, I would not bet my life savings on this counter.

Based on the amount RM700++ mil, it seems that Topglove may have overpaid by that amount in valuing Aspion.
This litigation may take years.
Expect the share price to correct over next few weeks towards RM10 and maybe lower depending on the severity of the distorted and inflated figure by Adventa Capital.
2018-07-07 11:27 | Report Abuse
Hopefully, while Topglove have to deal with the fraud purchase of Aspion(adventa capital), Supermax can take back the pole position as largest glove manufacturer in the world by gaining market share.
When SUpermax had to struggle with APLI issue, Supermax growth was stagnated, which allow Hartalega and Topglove to claim bigger market share. With the political issue out of the way, Supermax can now focus to build more production line and diversify part of it into nitrile glove.

Trade war comes with 2 sides or more.
US had already put tariff on our products (eg: solar panels, washing machines, etc) @ 30%.
UK had will barred any imports of Msia palm oil in the next few years(not tariff by United states, may be a form intimidation)
In the next few months, united states could imposed tariff on gloves and semiconductor.
No one knows for sure except Donald Duck.

With the crude oil now hovering above USD70 per barrel, it should be positive.

About 10-12 years ago, SUpermax and Topglove was figting neck to neck for No. 1 position as world largest glove company.
The insider trading issue with APLI and Jib Gor caused losses of Supermax's market share to Topglove. Then Hartalega came into the picture with nitrile glove to steal some market share from Topglove.
Now Supermax had recovered, and growing. Whether it can take some market share back from Topglove and Hartalega, I doubt so.
Any comments?

When the DRP was announced, the average price was around RM10.70.
You can opt not to subscribe to the DRP and take cash instead then using the cash to re-invest back by buying at market price of RM9.00
This will be better investment strategy.
