With 2,000 acres of prime age plant, FFB production should be 10 tonnes per acre meaning 20,000 tonnes per annum. Oil extraction rate of 0.2 will yield 4,000 tonnes of CPO p.a. , about 1000 tonnes a quarter. Even at RM3,000 a ton, sale of CPO is only RM3 million a qtr! If not because of palm kernel crushing business, how to record RM96 million of turnover in a qtr?

In the last 5 years, Oil palm planters made the highest profit in 2011 due to high CPO price. Tecguan made only 9.4 sen for FY Jan 2012. This confirmed that last quarter profit was not due to high CPO price but timely accumulation of cheap palm kernel and after processing unload Palm Kernel Oil at high price.

It was referring to the increase in sale volume and selling price of palm kernel oil which they have stock up a lot at low price. The new stock of palm kernel are acquired at current high price.

It owns not even 2,000 acres of oil palm plantation, how much profit can it makes from the plantation business? It made good money last quarter by accumulating palm kernel cheaply, extracted palm kernel oil (PKO) and sold at peak price then. The moment PKO price remains flat, its super margin will disappear. If PKO price on downtrend like in 2015, it will report a loss.

Be careful, this is not an oil palm company but a palm kernel oil mill which enjoyed exceptional profit when PKO price moved up.

The cash recycling machine in China can take 100 pieces one go. Note with folded angle will be rejected. My experience of reject rate is about 2%.

Don't be fooled. Last quarter it made a significant forex gain of RM3616K equivalent to 2.8 sen per share. Without that gain, the EPS is only 0.7 sen
