Was MAS too big to fail? Was Bank Bumiputera? Was Barings Bank? Was Lehman's? Sometimes, if all else fails, better if we let them go under and 'muddle' through the consequences. No company should feel "we're too big to fail". That's where all kinds of corrupt and silly practices are allowed to flourish. Is FGV too big to fail?

@Sarawakian60 I disagree. At the time, joining Msia was to everyone's benefit. Either Sabah and Sarawak joined Msia or Indonesia. East Msia was largely undeveloped jungle then. Life was difficult. Under Msia, everyone got the basics - electricity, water, housing, education, security. On your own, it would have been much slower. Today the situation has changed perhaps. However security will still be an issue.
