Kpmg expect to be sued .that's why kpmg has already insured with huge professional indemnity (PI) insurance to cover themselves.they have all the means to fight on.....

Kpmg is expected to win.if they didn't raise the fundamental inquiry ,they could lose due to professional negligence.

The best part, KPMG probably going to engage with thier legal teams from HQ to assist the local legal team. They going to counter Sue and the question is, will serbaDK which they already admitted in Q&A about their financial status , able to pay to KPMG if they win? I don't think they can claim from insurance for the counter sue.

Look at winning rate of KPMG legal team compared to SerbaDK 's lawyer.

This serbak saga is really interesting to follow.

Judges nowadays have to deal with all kinds of suits…not happy with Agong la, not happy with PM la, not happy with own external auditors la, not happy with own family la. Next time maybe can start suing teachers, lecturers for essays or music/art exams…

Ikan bilis retail investors can sue Serbak, sue Bursa, sue external auditors, sue each member of Board of directors in order to recoup their share losses, if any?

Stock market is really Risky…especially when those in position of power lacked integrity or cannot tell the difference of right and wrong anymore. Thanks to some screwed-up self-appointed ‘preachers’ around us in our daily lives…

In this high stake legel suit, deep pocket is crucial. Siapa ada bigger pocket got advantage. legal fees and the many rounds of appeal not going to be cheap..and it will drag on till who knows when

After the big funds like EPF cleared their holdings, the sharks will come in and do a big show..ending with a spectacular fire works show.. climatic finale..while the suit is still in progress

The minute EPF ceased to be a substantial holder, the sharks will start their show..i am waiting..opportunity not to be missed..don't waste time analysing the case..pointless already unless you r into academics want to research auditing standards, practice, GAAP that kind of thing. i just want to make money from this hoo hah.

In the mean time, project has to jalan, opex need to be paid, sub-cons also need payment, so no payment, sub-con also rest, project delay, LAD starts to kick in, may even withdraw..big headache for SD.

KPMG, also headache, thinking how to defend, reputational damage, less new business, existing clients attrition increase, potential big damages.

Existing investors, don't know when this drama will end. Definetly going to be loooong and protracted. After each, decision, there will be appeal after appeal, and share price will jump up , jump down, after each interim judgement..until the whole thing fizzles into oblivion where nobody is interested in the case anymore. people hv short memories .

Lawyers, partner of the firm, tonite can go back and start perusing brochures for new luxury cars, yatch or overseas property. Some may even considering new mistresses to "PAO".

How much lower can Serba stocks get? Sooner or later it will change its direction. Might as well keep the stocks. Frankly, better keep the stocks, be patient and hope that the price will increase. Because, If sell the stocks now when the purchase price is higher that current price, loss will be made and that’s not good…. Hopefully, the EY review will help to increase the price.
