Seriously, you ask the bilis / retailers like us to wait till proven guilty..by that time if found guilty, bilis will be holding worthless delisted stocks, while EPF and other big shareholders already nicely exited with a big thank you to the retailers .

Most of retailers , just want to cut loss, preserve some capital, and move on with life and fight another battle. Bursa is always there, , and there are many other choices. Losing one time here doesn't mean your entire investment journey is ended, unless you bet everything you got in this counter.

Even if the price rebounded in the interim. don't look back and sulk, move on. Don't succumb to BS like aiyoo, "should have hold la, bought more la..". If you carry that kind of mentality in investment, you are going to Holland sooner than you think

Actually, you should send your message to EPF and ask them not to sell coz " innocent until proven guilty", and see whether it works or not. Who knows, maybe they will listen to you message and start buying again..

Recently Serba Dinamik dunked a record profit in the latest quarterly report by the company. At the current swing, Serba Dinamik fundamentals are still solid because their cash flow is still hevaily backed up by the current oil & gas market. Unfortunately the stock price keeps going down.

This in a way opens the Malaysian stock market to the power of speculation. For years, BURSA remained steadfast and try to remain bullet proof to speculation.

Unfortunately what is happening to Serba Dinamik is worrying. It is true that they are facing a few stumbling blocks in regards to their audit report. However, the audit report is not finalised yet but people are quick to jump on the bandwagon to cry foul. Our society's long standing culture and principle has always been innocent until proven guilty. That is why we have proper legal mechanism to ensure all parties are equally protected.

But the sad reality is the stock market is strengtening by mob mentality, a hint of speculation and people are quick to pass judgment. This not some random coffee shop gossip hour. This is a billion dollar mark on the economy. Words hurt real working class people.

Serba Dinamik has been open so far. They want another auditor to close the report, willing to cooperate with SC and open to legal channel to clear their name. Most importantly, they want business to continue as usual and have maintained the confidence of their oversea business partners.

Their profit in this quarter is a good sign. Do not succumb to market speculation. Do not start a mob economy. Innocent until proven guilty.

my friend , previously got trapped, finally returned my call, and with a relief, he told me he got out d, some more with a profit.

What? I said, no way la.

But this is what he did, as informed. For simplicity, the numbers below are just example, not actual

Example :-
Buy 1000 @ 0.6
Price went down, cut at 0.57. Loss 30

Go in again 2000 @ 0.53
Price went down, cut at 0.5. Loss 60

Go in again 4000 @ 0.42
Price rebounded , took profit at 0.45. profit 120

Net profit 30 ( 120-60-30)

After that he went to temple ( outside since mco) to give thanks, and pledged to donate 100% of the profit once temple opened.

I listened also cold sweat, what if his timing not good, always fail to catch the rebound, he said keep doubling down lo,

( Cold sweat, cold sweat, anyway that guy got deep pocket, rich man son)

The above is just for sharing story only, no recommendation of any sorts.

To be honest, I sold / bought ( in, out) this counter before in the past.

But for this round, I am going to position for longer term, just looking at the number of positive catalysts lined up , never been a better time to take a position for mid-term growth, ideally should have gone in more when dipped below 5 , but now is still not too late if you can hold .

You don't sell and be negative when they are starting their engine to accelerate on a positive trajectory.

Just my 2 cents, not buy/sell call

A better analogy is that ur friend that won jackpot has 10 children..if he is unable to maintain jackpot winnings, the children will eat into his networth until nothing left

If company unable to maintain future profits, their networth/market cap drops..once future profits return to original level, then market cap/share price drops to original level as well

Don't forget, after ex-date, price will be adjusted lower, so you need to net off your dividend against the adjusted lower price, to see any REAL gain. - purely from dividend angle

But if the prospects is good, then go for longer term and wait for RM1

Agree. This is my first time that particular stock dividend yield >10%, much better than FD rate & inflation.

Congrats to whose who bought around 0.55 3 weeks ago, if sell now at 0.64, capital gain is almost 16%, better than waiting for 0.05 dividend, then after ex, price adjusted to lower can re-enter again

Exactly the point here. What i think is not important.

What the investing community's perception at large, is what matters most.

Assuming there is no fraud and all that, he needs to convince the investment community, especially the big funds like EPF of that and re-establish the trust element as soon as possible, before the situation spins out of control.

Every second that thing is not sorted out, people will be skeptical.

The world, especially the investment community, is very unforgiving.
You may say 9 things honestly, but lie in one thing that matters, you are forever labelled a liar and not trust worthy already.

In 2019, my friend was earning normal salary 4k a month. His bank accounts got balances of about 10K

In 2020, he got very lucky, kena jackpot few quarters, totalling 5 million in all.

After 2020, his luck begin to run out, kena smaller and smaller price until back to where he was in 2019, only earning 4k a month, But by then his bank account already swelled to 8 million, though he is back to earning 4k a month. So now the question is his netwoth still the same as back when he was in 2019?

I really have no answer to this question.

@siduit OK jokes aside, definitely there is still some value in SD

The beaten down stock price is is a show of lack of confidence from the investment community on the 'transparency" issue, once the element of trust worthiness is gone, damage is severe.

If people no longer trust your books, how to invest? how to lend? So SD to need get that in order first, so far the way they manage it is far from OK. Without this being sorted out, The "going concern" part will be a big issue

If you want a sure point of entry, go for salvage value basis, which is I don't know what. Maybe you can consult Mabel, she seems to be expert in this area, always invest in close to PN 17 company, then make a handsome profit after restructuring.

Managed to dispose most of my shares in SD at 60sen today. I don’t think I’m smarter than KWSP, KWAP or even their substantial shareholders who are disposing it in last few weeks. I suffer big loss BUT at least I still got back 60% of my money. Better than end up with nothing.

I am very sure he is working out a plan, be it white knight , strategic investors..or other plans to salvage the situation.

The key thing is when the situation deteriorates and he activate his back up plan, is he merely saving his own hide, or also saving the company and other shareholders as well, to get out of this mess.

That will depend on how much he can be trusted and his integrity

Looking at the situation spinning out of control, maybe Karim has worked out a deal with some big timer and big shareholders EPF

As EPF dispose, big player buys in at progressively lower price, until 5%, then announce in Bursa.. after that EPF keeps selling , big timer keep buying until threshold trigger MTO , price most probably lower end of the valuation

So bilis how? Sell dapat some residual value.. tak jual pegang saham yang delisted. After delist, no need to worry about big 4 audit, can engage small time auditors to do audit, easy easy, no need to quarterly report to Bursa, SC..headache macam macam

Above is just purely my own speculative imagination to add to the drama twist. Do not rely on it to make investment decision.

Actually one my friend still holding, so i asked him just now why no cut loss earlier,

he said, after the initial big drop which has taken him by surprise, there after its every day few cents down, few cents down..so make him think its ok, stabilise, today only drop few cents, not to worry, maybe tomorrow can rebound

True enuf, there was a rebound (one day show unfortunately), which serves to reinforce his thinking, that going down the road there will be rebounds coming, giving him a hope

The few cents drop daily (yam tik yam tik),the effect is less painful, so can tahan lo, plus hope of possible rebound down the road, thats why he holding lo

Since he is my friend, I hope whatever his thinking is correct lo, although personally i hv cut loss d.

The scary part to me is the yam tik yam tik ( slow slow down daily), so holder feel not so painful.

Anyway, really wish he can recover, who knows, maybe he is right

I'm wondering why people never exit so much earlier. When you are down by 20% you should exit immediately. This counter looks like going to be a long journey to recovery if it ever recovers. Don't forget it is linked to a party that is in limbo now.
