Total dividend last financial year was 58sen a share. This isn't chicken feed. The top 30 largest shareholders already control over 92% of Maybank. Over 98.5% of Maybank's shares are in the hands of those who hold over 100,000 shares.

Many jokers would start to buy a counter only after it has shot up by several times, even more than 10 times, like the way they chased after glove counters during the second half of 2020. Most of them ended up losing lots of money. Buy while MRCB is still low, not after it has gone above 50sen.

I prefer to put my bet in local banks like Maybank, RHB bank, CIMB bank and Public Bank in that order.

As at 31 Dec 2021, FACB's cash and other investments are worth over RM190 million or RM2.30 a share. It is ridiculous for its shares to trade at RM1.13 a share.

Can you blame Investment Banks for making non-stop buy calls on glove stocks during the second half of 2020? Revisit my comment posted at 16.55, on 2020-09-10 in which I advised investors to sell glove stocks and buy into banks. Those who had heeded my advice would have preserved their capital and made gains on their new investments. I never claim credit.
