Oh little boy, stop being self-righteous! Did I point a gun at potential MRCB investors and threaten to shoot if they refuse to invest in MRCB? Please give reasons why you think MRCB is a junk. Can you advise the EPF to get rid of this junk as soon as possible? You should also write to all the Investment Banks and tell them to stop issuing buy calls.

@lawrence86, those who had recommended MRCB a buy had already given their reasons. Can you give your reasons why we should avoid MRCB? We eagerly await your reply.

@UlarSawa the Python, last time sold expensive expensive at above RM7, now buy cheap cheap at 70 sen. Sold one last time can buy ten this time. Not bad.

"Haiyoh. Taikor weightage on klci is very small only lah. Nothing to talk about lah. Haiyoh. Correct?"
@Ularsawa, Top Glove's weightage in KLCI today is very small but it was over 6% two years ago. Remember it was the company with the second biggest market capitalization listed on Bursa after Maybank? Everyone thought it might overtake Maybank to become the company with the largest market capitalization listed on Bursa. You ought to be very excited then.

Top Glove never traded above RM30 a share before the 2 for 1 bonus. After the 2 for 1 bonus, the highest price reached was around RM9. So it has tumbled by over 90% from its peak. This is extremely bad for a KLCI Index component counter, maybe the worst in history.

At the peak of the pandemic and before any vaccine was made available, demand for gloves skyrocketed and prices jumped to the sky. Existing players expanded their capacities and new players jumped into the fray. As conditions began to improve with the roll out of vaccination, demand started to drop and glove price dropped. Whom to blame for the overcapacity and price slump now?

Can't be just 40% return in 30 years. 400% is more likely.

@kyliew, below was what I read somewhere and I now post it verbatim for you to read.
"The American stock market currently appears to be overvalued by 40%. In other words, it would take a 29% drop to bring the market back to its long-run equilibrium level. At the last all-time high, on November 8, 2021, the market was 86.6% overvalued."

RHB isn't doing as well as Maybank lately likely because the big boys want to keep its share price low so that they can get more DRP shares.

Knowing the attitude and the mentality of its directors, investors will likely be paid an interim dividend of 4 sen again this year.

At RM8.60 a share, Maybank is trading close to its early 2020 levels. Investors who had bought Maybank then and remain invested until today had already received dividends totaling 149sen a share. Those who continued to buy as it dipped towards RM7 during the final quarter of 2020 would have made more.

Maybank held up very well today despite catastrophic falls on Wall Street. The last time it traded ex-dividend on 16 March, its share price went up by 12 sen. Hopefully this feat is repeated on 19 Sept.

Earnings this year shouldn't be less than 60sen a share. Assuming dividend per share remains the same as last year, then RHB is trading at a PE of less than 10 and a dividend yield of almost 7%. It should be trading at a more reasonable PE of above 12 or above RM7 a share.

RHB Bank has significantly increased its dividend payout from an average of 21 sen a share for the years 2017 to 2020 to 40 sen last year. This year's dividend payout should be maintained or even increased as its largest shareholder needs to replenish its coffers due to heavy withdrawals by its members. Fingers crossed.

I am a bit worried about the Ringgit's depreciation against the US$ and a rising interest rate environment. Tenaga has over RM50 billion in outstanding loans, over RM8 billion is in US$. The Ringgit had dropped by 21 sen against the US$ from 31 March to 30 June. This translates into a foreign exchange loss of over RM400 million for the April to June quarter though this is partly compensated by the Ringgit's gain against the British Pound and the Japanese Yen.
