last harta was up was in 31 May at 4.20 .... and since then for the whole of June its been down to now 2.82 or 33% in 15 days? Has there been any news? Even in bear market..... why the continuous drop?

If talk about long term.... 10 years and above investing, banks are the safest bet, yes it can go up and down, but dividend is pretty assured - it will range 3-4% yield initially but after a few years with appreciation the yield will get better. Palm oil play for now is purely due to the market imbalance.... which carries its own risk, as we can see CPO is hovering at about 5,500 from about 6.500 just about 10 days ago.

@GrowthCapitalist..... yes ur right on chintek, and also kfima, and a few more kretam, kimloong, these are all slowly lurking, sometimes its the less talked about that will shine. As for PE analysis, its only a benchmark to see how the market values the sector in normal times, for example for banking counters, PE of 12-15 already considered high.... but some sectors this is considered low... EV is more for long term valuation

i was curious as to what P/E ratio was TSH trading at in previous years..... shock to find out 2016-44x, 2017-19x, 2018-38x, 2019-38x, 2020-19x, 2021-12x....... and surprise2, current 2022 forward Q1 p/E is only 5x,,,, talk about potential upside

company is adopting incorrect business model, for most if not all power plant/solar based projects, financing can only be raised via long term bond/sukuk arrangements, whereby the returns will be almost flat but guaranteed for long term say 25-30 years, these type of investments are not for retail investors, as there will be close to zero dividend.... therefore in my opinion, either tenaga or khazanah shd acquire this company for long term national building and RE target achievements.... while retail investor shd just stay away, either way main shareholders are seen diluting their interest, and wonder who the private placements were made to?

just saw news that indon govt is barring its workers to come to malaysia to harvest CPO, and therefore looks like production for 2022 will most probably be lower than 2021 overall, meaning revenue will probably be also lower, but if demand keeps the same and supply is low, rightfully it shd pressure the price to move up..... therefore less production, less sales but price move higher.... if alls well, we will end up having same revenue in 2022 compared to 2021.... what say u?

Supermx made 0.49c eps and issued 3c div, that helped sentiment as 3/1.03 is 2.9% yield, TG made 1.09c eps in Q Feb, not sure if next Q can also make 1c but my guess will be lower, and if no div....sure price will take hit, another surprise supermx has 2.9b cash where asTG has only 560m cash... hmmm

Commentaries are commentaries, if one dexide to follow it one has no one to blame but oneself, there are more dishonest people out there than honest ones so what so u expect, importantly do ur homework, access ur risk apetite so as to know what counters to stay away from, and never blame anyone else for ur decision, after all did kyy put a gun to ur head and ask to buy... but I'm sure some have benefitted from kyy using reverse psychology methods and being 1 step ahead of his predicted advices... calvin.... try not to over-sell your position, you have raised many good points but beyond that there is the market and its multitude of players, muititude of sentiments that goes into the pricing of a share, how about promoting some of the other CPO counters that is not so mentioned and are doing better than TSH at this point. Sometimes a counter tries to weed out contra players before heading on its way, and TSH could be weeding off over-selling sentiments before normalising... meanwhile let's look at wtk, kfima, kretam, inno, cepat, and the rest of the geng :-)

subur... is a funny case lah, good business, and now with CPO u, profits coming but have run out of cash to run daily business, and then when you see the BS - balance sheet and not bullsheet - there is a 53m treasury shares, who ask to go buy ur shares, when you cud have used it for working capital.... lesson 101 of how to apply wrong strategy, and then have people like kyy out o fblue promote the counter and make ppl get sucked in..... just look at kfima, quiet counter quiently planting its palm oil trees, no one kacau..... only me, and its slowly gaining ground.... no hu ha no margin call no kyy :-) happy hunting

yo people.... do check on EPS and rolling and forward 4Q results of RHB and Ambank..... they are better than CIMB and the other banks, do homework and decide.

kretam has good upside, looking at few factors 1) price upside still there (current price 61c is still the same as what it was in early Feb), 2) decent Q result of 1.97 eps, and assume x4 thats PE of 7.6x; 3) usd to rm exchange rate enables better earnings (as CPO sold in us$), 4) lower harvest dragged eps lower so had upside in next Q.... happy investing

early feb 22, price was about 3.70 and today its 5.52; so thats 50% increse in price, and i believe it has absorbed the higher CPO into the price already, if price can stay around here will be good enough already, but there could be upside, coming from CPOprice breaching 7,000 or prolonged soviet war, or further RM rate deterioration... but far fetched wishful thinking if you ask me.... better to turn to CPO counters where the price increase is about 15-30% compared to early Feb - where the price has upside left.

@nazrzach .... no thats not correct, q3 showed overall profit of 307m, which includes 317m gain of -ve goodwill (as IFRS says any -ve goodwill shd be charged to profit and loss account). Therefore to get to the "real" profit before -ve goodwill, its 307 - 317 = -10.... but mngt justified this loss by saying that they were short of 1 offtake which did not take place, otherwise i guess it would have been perhaps 20-25m profit. Remember q3 only sold about 500,000 boe, which is low, in the whole of q1-q3 total sales was 2.6m boe. Lastly, mnt forecasts that they will sell 2m boe in q4. This q4 sale will most probably (unless brent crashes in June) be at higher per unit sale compared to q3 and previous quarters. Hope this is clear.

Month end window dressing I'm guessing, from 1.35 to 1.40 without gap very unusual.... but then again Brent shot up too, as well as usual vs RM, tripple whammy gain for hibiscus... Brent up, RM down since crude sold in USD, and 2m boe awaiting Q4 sales.

@GrowthCapitalist ..... the public spread was announced by management itself, where they stated that the top 5 or 10 largest shareholders only hold a small portion, therefore leaving a big portion out there for trading, you can say hibiscus belongs to the people...

QR commentary other than stating mathamatical variance from last year Q and last Q makes to attempt to explain how come continue to do business with negative gross margin.... there were better off not engaging in work altogether.... half if not more from middle east... which is now cash rich due to high brent

@zhangzuode.... yes IFRS says if the studies are pertaining to future income generation that can be proved to some extent, then can be capitalised and amortised there on. Same with the negative goodwill which is a good thing actually - meaning they paid less than the NTA means they can capitalise the sum, as non distributable reserves, all sounds good, furthermore repsol returns were from an associate and therefore did not show in the revenue, but was present in the PBT, all good... nevertheless the market did not think so.

nice article @skoh888 ... i like ur2 suggestions, and im taking the first suggestion, and have already gone in, but on your point about IB, im sure u know that they issue 15 CWs and then someone will issue 1 PW... where is the fairness in this? Naturally it will be in their interest to push the mother share down, thats just their strategy, just like short selling, the strategy is clear, but you mentioned JTiasa has no CWs and yet not doing well.... thats a good point, how about hibiscus? any opinion?

good days are long gone....although supermax offered a decent 3% dividend yield, thats all we can hope for if still interested....otherwise banking counters are better bet
