flogging a dead horse ..comes to mind, sometimes it boggles me how management dont see the signs and wait till the last minute. Not having a major shareholder running the key decisions is one element I can identify of so called mis-management...

i wonder whats the foreign shareholding percentage in gas malaysia? basically it buys natural gas from petronas super cheap and sells to industries cheap.... 100% make money lah, who does not know that.... how long can sustain, only God knows

earnings of RM4b... which is about the same as Maybank, so why is it trading at much lower P/E ??? Is there an upside here? But kenanga only gives it a price target of RM10.30 a meagre 50c above current price.

technically the profits come from the company's profits and yes the share price should not deduct the dividend, but in teh real world fund managers tend to move the market in accordance to the spread... if i buy at 2.68 and get 5c dividend... ex-dividend I can sell at 2.63 and so call breakeven.... and i believe this is what fund managers do, and thats why teh price tends to drop ex-div... i think :-)

classic case of strong fundamentals but bad management. Im assuming u guys who invest in SB are young, so it enables you to absorb all that suspense and risk... not really for the faint hearted. if sapcres at RM5.14/share and kencana at RM3.40/share, then the market cap is RM11.5b and post-merger OSK targets a market cap of RM14.4b... Does this mean purely on the merger there is an increase in value by RM2.9b ??? This cannot be... not that much premium at least

i think that being awarded the tunneling contract was a foregone conclusion that has already been absorbed by the current price... and the ups and downs are due to punters.... mid to short term it shd rise based on 3.3x 2011 book order :-) just my 2cents worth

If every punter thinks like u guys... then there will be lots of accumulation and little selling, and this wud artificially push the price up... in absence of any substance (unless there are any). The fact that the MD and even the directors are disposing at 21/22c.. i think says much of the future of this stock. Beyond this is people still want to go in at anything above 16... well, just don say u were not informed :-) happy hunting

i think they have listed string fundamental stocks... rather than those that jump up and down... nothing wrong with that i suppose, serious investors shd have these in their portfolios...or at least have a big percentage of their portfolios in these stocks
