Beware of the following:
1. EPF heavy selling (8 or 9 million shares per day);
2. Stock market in correction (KLCI already fallen 11.5% from its recent peak of 1.826.90);
3. BNM lowering interest rate translating into less profit for banks.
All of the above will tend to drag down CIMB's price to below RM5.

Y should I curse this stock? This is a good stock (& good company). I am just stating the fact that in the current situation it is risky to hold huge position in this stock (hold a little for long term is O.K.). Besides EPF's heavy selling in recent months, it is also a fact that our KLCI has fallen as much as 11.51% from its recent peak of 1,826.90 (this confirmed that our stock market is in correction mode.... if the fall extend to 20% then it will be in bear market).

Yes, if EPF start buying several million shares every other day then I'll definitely buy.... after all, PCHEM is a fundamentally strong & profitable company. Currently, the downside risk of this counter is caused by two factors: heavy selling by EPF as well as the possibility of the stock market crashing soon.

Rwkl, since u mentioned Sapura Energy.... FYI, EPF did the same thing to Sapura Energy during the past few years (kept selling several million shares daily.... bringing down the price from RM2.60 to RM0.265). In case u may think I hold a lot of Sapura shares.... no, I only buy & sell small quantities of Sapura shares.
2019-05-09 09:35 | Report Abuse
Rwkl, my prediction that came true (so far) was (1) EPF will continue selling several million shares regularly for many many months ....can even b up to 2 years (2) the price direction is down (at that time the price was RM9.10 to RM9.30) and at this moment the price is RM8.83.
2019-05-08 15:32 | Report Abuse
EPF selling millions of shares regularly is not a hype.... it is a fact, it is reported by Bursa & everyone can check it out. The price may be hovering around RM9 but if EPF keep selling millions regularly.... how long can it hang onto RM9? Well, unless EPF change from selling millions to buying millions regularly then that will be a different story then.

@Dakewlest, several months ago I cautioned against the downside risk of this counter because I noted that EPF consistently disposed a few million shares almost every other day.... & I said that EPF would continue to do so for several months (bringing down the share price while doing so).
2019-05-06 12:22 | Report Abuse
Wah!! EPF still keep disposing until now arh!? Jia lat oh..... even sold up to 9 million share in one day!! Looks like my prediction (a few months ago) is true so far.

Hehehe.... PCHEM dropped from RM9.25 (today's high) to RM9.00 (Philip's Buy TP) according to Philip's wish. More likely, the price will drop further to RM8.91 soon (if not today, mayb next week).

Plug, it depends on what kind of trader/investor u r (referring to your personal objectives) as well as how much capital u have & how much Sapura's stock u r holding now.
2019-03-18 14:17 | Report Abuse
@dragonslayer, TPs given by IBs (so high) is for 1 year target and the three IBs sold all their RI saham (so low but higher than their cost) is to free up their capital tied up there in one company's stock (too much concentration risk). IB's don't need to use their own capital to trade in stocks (except in the case of low IPO or RI subscription). So their first priority is to free up their own capital without losing money (they sold higher than 30 sen).

@i3gambler, I'll respond to your question number 2 (since it is about investment & margin financing).
Investment banks (IBs) operate 4 main businesses:
a) underwrite IPO & RI (earn very big money here);
b) operate brokerage firm (earn commission whether client win or lose money);
c) provide margin financing secured by the shares purchased (100% safe loan);
d) do proprietary trading (use clients' money to trade in stocks... no need to use own capital but keep all the profits).
A simple answer to your question is: yes, stock investment/trading is indeed one of the best business giving very good return and IBs are also investing/trading in stocks (using clients' money) as well as providing margin financing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i3gambler: dragonslayer,
Then we will have so many questions to ask:
1) If the house is so good for investment, why must the developer sell it to you, they better keep all houses and rent them to people. And why the banks lend you money to buy the house, banks should buy the houses and rent them out.
2) If the stock investment could give good return, why must the banks give you margin loans, they better buy the stocks instead of give you margin account.
And I believe there will be more investment banks revise up their target prices for SAPNRG within one or two weeks time.
Anyway, you have your right to ask any question.
I have my right to respond or not to respond to you too.

What no declare..... if u rajin, go dig up my past posts. I was the only one who declared I subscribed the RI. Anyway, that is not important to me.... I don't care if nobody notice my "declaration." Your claim about being a long term investor is also false: u never really behaved as a long term investor.... remember your comments of buy-sell earning half sen everyday? Long term investors don't do that.

@spinninglotus, I remember u asked people not to subscribe RI leh, u also asked people to sell at 28 sen. I did not bother with your comments.... I subscribed the RI, I also bought at 28 sen & 26 sen while u were asking people to sell. Now u claimed that u r the first one to promote SAPNRG after RI? and no sifu dare to touch SAPNRG except u?

Hahaha! EPF buying/selling is not the only deciding factor in my investment (but in this case with PCHEM.... it is so obvious that EPF's selling has contributed to its price drop). Now the KLCI has dropped by 11.86% from its recent peak.... another 8% or 9% drop will bring it to 20% (not far away from a bear market). If u can sleep well seeing all your stock holding falling by another 10% or more then u don't have to b concerned about the market sinking.... just hold onto your stocks.
