Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended March 31, 2020 (3QFY20) declined 48.42% y-o-y to RM28.47 million, from RM55.18 million, as revenue retreated 22.23% to RM175.86 million from RM226.12 million.

For the nine months ended March 31, 2020 (9MFY20), its net profit more than halved y-o-y to RM95.94 million from RM205.29 million, while revenue shrank 19.2% to RM607 million from RM751.23 million.

Based on the above report and factoring in the supply cushion by MCO and lock down of several countries especially UK (Anasuria) and mamagement has taken a prudent approach.

Factor in the new normal which will take at least 2 years for the demand to recover to pre-covid 19 period resulted a prudence expectation of the company. However, the average production for the 3rd quarter remain the lowest at US14 while average selling price at US48.

However, there is a need to look for 4th quarter result as it may reflect the reason oil price slump due to supply out stripe demand for May and June delivery. Therefore the average selling price may be lower then the recent quarter which will impact the bottom line result.

Hence, there is a need to revise the current stock price to reflect the current and future bottom line growth.

Hi Guys, just to double check with you, it is divide or multiply? because based on my understanding is we pay RM1.00 for every ICULS we should be subscribing for RM1per unit and it pays 3.5% interested on the RM1.00........

in the future should we convert ICULS to mother share is RM10.99 per unit. E.g if one person owns 1,000 mother share now, he will have 2,000 ICULS and pay RM2,000 for it with 3.5% interest on it for the next 3 years until 2020.

Should we convert now or in the future of the ICULS the price of conversion is RM10.99 regardless what price it is now or the future. Therefore, its 2,000 units of ICULS X RM10.99 = RM21,980 right?

Especially this kind of situation where share consolidate is rarely seen. Mostly share split and bonus share issue are seen in the market based on my experiance.

Yes, I have the same question. Since after share consolidation, in theory the ROE will increase but others will remain the same as it uses more debts due the reduction of equity financing.

0.27x4=1.08 because is 4 to 1. Assume that someone bought 100k shares as 0.27. After consolidate it will become 50k shares with a share price of 1.08 per share.

The first quarter result is out, revenue and profit increase 10% and 36% respectively. Mainly due to lower input cost. The increase also include the appreciation of U.S Dollar as Hup Seng also export to overseas especially US and Australia market.

However there is slide decease in overall balance sheet performance for this quarter.

Ah Ha, because based on the report the profit mostly derived from interests income from the rights issue. I thing they must have put the money in FD or other money market.

Micheal, don't worry I'm having a same fate as you right now. According to bursa they created a tranche bond that will be listed today at 9am. Think they needed this as placement will not work for them anymore due to low confidence. When I read your comment I agree wil you and I when and look back their annual report. Looks like we have to hold for another year because they are renegotationting contracts with supplier to take advantage of current low price and start producing oil in 2016. They actually have a lot of reserves.

Makemoneynow I kinda agree with you....this time is the 2nd time this happen. The price drop to rock bottom and the next day someone collects the shares. Makes me wonder are those people collect through the weakness and when they start producting oil then they will sell they shares in large volume when the price goes up
