OTB is rallying other counters, this is left to sink or swim?

When one decides to invest, newbie or not, s/he must know the risk is always there. If you decide to follow an opinion, you must also know the person/ research company/ media is not liable to any risk you choose to take. At the end of the day, it's your money and your own decision to take the risk. If you make money, I presume you are not going to share with him/her so why the finger pointing when you lose money?
Please provide constructive arguments rather than having us to read insensible accusations.
Thank you.

Thank you for your generosity and continuous help to these students. I can only hope that one day our system will judge based on merits instead of skin colour.

Main two Reasons for leaving this country:
1. Security - more than half of my family and friends, including me, have experienced robberies and snatch-theft. None have pleasant experience with the police when reporting their cases. None have assurance from the police that they will do their best to catch the culprits.
2. Education -
School - Friends working as school teachers have complained about the endless paper work they have to do. Planning efficient lesson is becoming difficult with the mountain of reports that are irrelevant to student learning process. If teachers can't concentrate in teaching, how can I expect my children to grasp what they learn in school? On top of that, we're aware how 'impressive' our education system is heading each year.
University - Needless to say, we're equally aware of our universities in world ranking. As a product of a local university, I'm only thankful to come across a handful of good and friendly lecturers. Apart from that, the attitude of most administration staff are appalling. My worst experience with them is their indifference when they failed to give proper instructions. They are hardly apologetic and they are REALLY good in telling one to be 'patient'. To make the reputation even worse is their impassiveness toward international students, who are vital financial contributors of the university.

my average holding of WA is 0.77. This prolonged drop is making me feeling very jittery. Is the market really that bad for property sector?

Dear Mr Ooi,
May I know the reasons for taking position in Hovid-WB? It seems the RSI is getting above 70. Hope you can share some points for us to learn. Your reply is much appreciated.

Dear Mr Ooi,
1. Not trading at a discount means it's above the price it's supposed to be? Am I right?
2. High (3.6) gearing is refering to the ROI? how do you arrive to these number?
Sorry if my questions sounded unintelligent. I'm trying to understand more about the market terminologies and analysis.
Thank you.

Dear Mr Ooi,
For an investment between LBS-WA and Hapseng-WA until Dec 31, which would have a better chance of higher return? As both have increased substantially from the date you recommended, I wonder if both were still good for investing.
And also I've looked into WTK and I think the share price is still a good buy as it has not risen much.
I understand that these companies, that you recommended and thoroughly explained, have good fundamentals. However, I'm very new in share market and reading TA. Thus, I wonder if now is a good time to enter the market or would there be a downtrend, etc.
Your feedback is very much appreciated. Thank you.

BTW, unrelated to stock market topic. For those who travel overseas, how do you decide when to change your currency? especially on currency that is much bigger than ours.
I'm in a dilemma on whether to change now or hold on a little while as our currency has lost more value since May. And with the FED threats on tapering, it seems our currency is heading further south. Also, will our upcoming budget affects our currency?
Hmm...to change or not to change? Any two cents to drop in my pocket is much appreciated.

lwalk - thanks for the article. I'm looking into Digista. Is it on a downtrend now? CI doesn't seem to be able to bypass 1780 today.

sold Inari @0.925
Made a small profit and I'm really thankful. Thank you matrixcool for your guidance and sharing.

htyeap125, thanks for the warning on CI. If today the market close at bearish, does that mean that we should be wary and sell off the stocks?
Inari has started to move up. But could not stay at 0.92 at the moment.

Wow! A few days without the net and there's so much action here.
Enjoy your trip matrixcool and also choolooi for your upcoming homeland voyage.
Have a fun trip CityTrader.
Thank you matrixcool for your reminder on the EXIT plan. So, I've highlighted to myself
3 mantras.
1. Exit plan. - even if I chant around my monitor, a stock will still turn into a blood sucking Dracula. Just exit and leave it as planned.
2. Lock profits - Stock God is kind enough to give you some money to sing K, don't aim for Maldives in one shot.
3. Read charts - they are not sutra but they are signals. Remember mantra 1, if the signals are not working as expected.
Congrats to CityTrader, invest88 and others who have made profit for the past two days.
htyeap125, I'm from Penang too~ but I'm residing in Selangor now.travel back on a monthly basis. :)
I'm still holding Inari. Will exit as advised by matrixcool.
Have a good trading day~

This thread is really enlightening with everyone sharing their experiences and knowledge. All this thanks to matrixcool effort to begin it.
As a beginner in the share market and tripping a lot since I started in July, I'm really thankful to come across this thread. I'm starting to learn reading the charts using the links htyeap125 provided. (Thank you, htyeap125)
I've bought Inari at 0.88 but I didn't manage to escape today. (Oh no!)
Another hiccup for me to learn. @.@

I see. Thank you for sharing. I've just started investing and learning the ropes of trading/ investing.
Then again, may I know how do you tell when the price is considered low? the one year range is a huge gap to tell.

Thank you to everyone who shared their insights on the market. I guess it's better to hold my cash than risking them in the market now.

is it wise to buy now considering the market is haphazard and many negative news looming? I'm worried it'll drop below 5 if buy now

Thanks for your share of experience and insights, neohts and soosuan. It meant a lot to me as a newbie. Now, I need to patiently wait and pray the market will recover and recoup my losses on other shares. Sell them all and invest on foreign companies that don't seem to be easily affected by bad news or the manipulation of certain parties on the share price.
