I really wonder what's keeping corporate predators from bidding for this co and sending our Yeoh into retirement or at least clipping his influence?

The best way to improve your BToto yields is to ..... come to the AGM, get the door gift & eat the food cukup-cukup. Haha

The Digi bloodbath continues.
Just like the leg bone is connected to the thigh bone & the thigh bone is connected to the hip bone ....
Someone's got to pick up the tab for the govt's mismanagement. We shareholders should be honoured for this.

4 sen is just ok for me. I hope that its EPS > 4 sen

3% is against the par value sineo. That's why I prefer companies to announce the dividends in absolute terms.

TA's research 5 Sep 16 - puts target price @ RM4.03, up from RM3.23 due to among others - "lower interest rate, defensive nature of the stock & resilient earnings". Too high target price in my opinion.
Comments?

I think MD only declares dividend just enough to pay for his 4 meals a day plus petrol & parking.

Article in today's Star about this MD's savviness in investment.
Apparently he was formerly a school teacher from Kedah. He should have remained a school teacher.

Despite this MF's antics, I've proceeded to accumulate some more.
Hopefully this guy gets a massive cardiac arrest worrying about all the money in KJ he had kept instead of declaring a decent dividend!

I believe that this stock with a genuine brick & mortar business model is a good long term investment (but not too long I hope haha).

mcheat - if the management declares dividends, besides us retail investors, they will also benefit from the cash flow

I have even more derogatory labels for this evil MD.
Puny dividends of only 8.8m when the cash reserves is in excess of 176m and retained earnings in excess of 1.188b. The See brothers were more generous.
They're keeping the money for what??

Charlie Chia - I want quarterly dividends. I think the company can pay 8 sen per quarter.

Based on recent reported earnings, I'll guess 4 sen dividend & I'm being optimistic here.

philip31 I think you are spot on.
Also your comment on the 12th August seem to jive with the sudden surge in the price.
2016-08-14 23:41 | Report Abuse
KJ value down simply because of demand and supply. With EPF reducing its stake at every opportunity over time, the price would certainly decline. However this market value does not reflect its true much higher value as reflected by its ability to consistently generate positive earnings.
This makes KJ nice & ripe target for a takeover!

Sure that happens when there's not enough delta in the warrant i.e. if it's way out-of-the-money.
In layman's terms, the share price is way below the strike price.
2016-08-14 11:49 | Report Abuse
Warrants are highly leveraged instruments. Hence a small price move on the mother share would logically have a magnified move on the warrant.
If you are absolutely certain that the share price is going to rise and by when (e.g. if your good buddy is the chairman i.e. insider trading of sorts), then you should buy warrants (albeit illegal). You'll make a ton of money.

If slightly better than the last quarter, I'll be very happy - extrapolating over a year, it will be more than able to pay the same annual dividend of 20 sen.
2016-08-12 05:21 | Report Abuse
The share price is low because EPF is dumping it every opportunity it gets. Maybe it's fed up with the low dividends & poor capital gains.

So Mr Joblessrich, what's your EPS guess?
2016-08-11 23:12 | Report Abuse
The quarterly earnings has been very volatile. In recent history, it has ranged from -17.60 to +27.47. Anybody want to hazard a guess as to the quarterly earnings ending June 16? Not much at stake - just a pound of your flesh hehe.
Ok I'll guess 1 sen - mitigated by the impact of the recent explosion.
See who can guess the closest. Come on let's have some fun!

Buy - The management comes across as prudent & honest. Furthermore the co has bought back shares in excess of 7% of the total issue.

picked up some KJ.
Based on the data I gathered over the past few years, KJ had never registered any quarterly loss. It's dividends had always been far less than its EPS. This stingy but capable management can only mean that the company is severely undervalued,

I hate it when a company declares a long fuse dividend i.e. to be paid in a very distant future. It's just a tactic to keep the share price high.

Par value is nothing more than a psychological benchmark for many an investor.
Imagine that you bought 2 houses - 1st for RM100k (in Bangsar) & 2nd for RM1m (in Seremban). After 10 years, the market value for both are RM2m. Would a potential buyer consider the original developers' prices? I say No.
Both houses have the same net asset value. The only difference is that the first is 100k capital & 1.9m gain while the 2nd is 1m capital & 1m gain - purely a classification. I don't think anyone should get more excited with the first house if the seller reclassifies the gain & said that he bought the Bangsar house for RM1m.
