Raymond....I bought back at RM1.26 since it seemed so ridiculous at 4.50pm. I had earlier cut loss first at RM1.33

My 2 cents is this....IF there is manipulation for the month end closing price then tomorrow the price should go back up to at least RM1.30 which was the price before the matching price

Also better to go with companies whose boss is buying back shares rather than selling. HSplant boss keeps selling while TSH boss keeps buying

@wechichi....you are absolutely right! When we choose plantation companies we have to understand their hedging policies as well as if they speculate on the futures market as well. So that's why certain companies will not do well even with higher CPO prices

However with so many variables in play especially the ongoing war in Russia, it is anybody's guess what the prices will be in 6 months! The futures just gives us an idea but it is not definitive

For example based on yesterday's settlement price, the Dec2022 settled at RM5894 while the Feb2023 contract settled at RM5874. So If is no where near the spot price which is the Jun 2022 contract, currently trading at RM6710

To get an idea what the average price of CPO will be in the next 6 to 12 months you look at the futures prices of the future contracts for FCPO

@startofthebull....the definition of peak earnings DOES not mean that the companies are not profitable. They can still make super profits but may not see any profit growth. That's the definition of peak earnings.

It's true we may not be able to forecast results correctly, but we have to be honest and react accordingly once the facts are known. That's what a responsible guru/ tipster would so. Markets have no place for pride and inflated egos

the price gapped down at RM0.85 today and it's now trading at RM0.79. you still could have saved yourself 7% by cutting loss early in the morning. Guess who are the ones who sold even at a loss? the people who analysed the results and left their ego at home

Any so called guru would have analysed the results which were released on Friday and made an assessment that the numbers were clearly a miss. So instead of doubling down and telling the followers who bought following your advise that you were wrong and you should cut your losses

good results? you got to be kidding! No need talk about rm3.00 target. Rm1.00 also seems far away. Nobody should promise you dreams of riches with outlandish target prices and visions of grandeur. Nothing is guaranteed and if anyone tells you otherwise they should be shot

@raymond...thanks for your comment. I never liked Jtiasa and would never buy their shares as I am familiar with their hedging policies and previous excessive futures speculation. So even with high spot prices, they are not likely to enjoy the high prices or even lose money through bad short bets in the futures market

You have clearly put targets of JTIASA at RM3.00 by year end and TSH at RMM3.00 by year end. These are clearly your words and prediction. So let's see, the market will decide and the good people if i3 will see

I just rebought at RM1.37 as I noticed Datuk Tan is buying again. So I would also be happy if the market sees it my way but I am not ARROGANT enough to proclaim I will be right at the end of the road or blame others if I am wrong

For full disclosure, I also bought TSH when it was RM1.10 because I felt that CPO prices were still rising nicely and Datuk Tan Aik Pen was buying but I sold at RM1.70 when the charts began to turn

If you are indeed right just keep buying and hold it as you have advocated. Simple

If you make an accusation of market manipulation, you better prove it. If not don't go blaming others for your bad calls

@ wallstreet....RM1.36 seems to be holding well from yesterday. plantation index has also jus turned green. I am buying at Rm1.37

But be warned that futures are highly leveraged products and you can lose more than your initial deposit

@investformilk....CPO futures are traded on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives. You can open an account with your local brokerage account as they usually have a derivatives division.
