GENM is way more profitable than many listed companies in KLSE. In fact GENTING itself is less profitable than GENM... GENM earns 440Mil net profit while GENTING only manages to reign in 300Mil. Which company is a better return of capital investment, its obvious that GENM beat many of all the above with ease...

buy genm.... load up 100000 shares and hold.... Q result is expected to be fantastic.

run when others are chasing all time high and buy when others are running like mad because of a perceived bad news.... stick with facts... reality is nothing has changed and the empire purchase is a wild card that will either bury genm or will propel it to its glowry days.... you decide. Don't regret when its no longer at this price.... for the skeptics, in the future when the price is back to where its supposed to be (RM4++)....just know that you were there and did nothing except hoping for lower price (emotionally driven). no risk no gain. there is no freebies.

To Agjl's comment, I think I agree that this is not the first time GENM execute RPT.... but this one to me appears to be one of the good one...personally I think its a good deal given the facts we have on hand. I'll let time tell...

KH takes empire private and then KH will partner with Genm to run empire as a JV. There are 2 different transactions.... this deal has no material impact to genm balance sheet. Note that genm seems to be getting a fairly good deal given empire is only going to get better from the synergies and expertise of genm and the consolidation gaming market shares under Resort World, there is no cannibalization in the US gaming market particularly NY City. Get your popcorn ready.... i personally expect huge upside in the long run.... the skeptics can just sell genm and move somewhere else... no point harping and complaining... wont make you rich anyway... :)

RWC is awaiting the approval of sports wagering and eventually, an associated enhancement in the value of the common. Also a couple of months ago the State approved the company's plans to open a $100 million electronic gaming parlor in a high-traffic location in Orange County.
Both Empire resorts and genm minority shareholders felt the the deal is one sided.
Empire resort shareholders think LKT wants to monopolized the profits that are expected to come in the immediate future given all the positive development of Empire resorts despite posting loss for 2 decades (growing pains).... genm minority share holders on the other hand thinks LKY wants to use genm's free cash to bail a loss making company that KH realty personally owns...
Read between the lines guys (serious genm investors)... LKT is not stupid.... after a string of carefully schedule good news from genm that brings the share to touch RM4, you really think he set this deal to crash the stock price for fun? think again.... what are the positive value/development associated with empire resorts that LKT really wants to create by partnering with genm and really RM538m for a sizeable stake in a US gaming company with license and more to come is a steal.
Don't be emotional but instead seize the op to buy in now. IF you are not convinced then leave this chat and focus on other company. genm is not for you.

there are 2 groups of people here.... 1 share holders and supporters of genm because theyy see value or at least they try to objectively justify their reasons to own genm and why its a good price, etc... another group belongs to those who didn't buy and didn't get to seel high and now that its down, they feel vindicated and continue to speak negativity with the intention to get cheap price fro genm... actually all are genm supporters... what separates them is timing.... otherwise they won't be here.

once empire turnaround and when GENM reports their earning in Aug, it would set the direction for the share price.... wait until end of month for the report. Empire is not making money because of many things... if genm can change the operation and create synergies it would be a different story.... no matter how I look at genm, it does not warrant RM3.06 considering all the things on plate..... you can check back after 3-6 months

well.... need to infer the moves by Chairman LKT properly.... he has significant share ownership in both GENM and RWC.... you think he just want to rip off minor shareholders of genm just like that without any reason.
